It was the beams of the rising sun that woke Emperor William V. His wife was still asleep by his side. He got out of bed quietly, but as always, his wife was a light sleeper and she woke as soon as he moved. The Empress was up and about quickly. Still groggy from his long night, the Emperor took his time getting into the shower. The hot water got rid of any residue of fatigue and the Emperor was fully alert. He knew he had to go say goodbye personally to the Justosian Queen before she left. When he and the Empress got out of the shower, they dressed quickly and left their room. The Emperor was dressed in his normal uniform, he decided that it would break tradition if he wore his black mourning uniform that Emperor's wore between the death of their predecessors and their coronation, for the death of a foreign royal. Therefore, the Emperor wore a black armband around his traditional uniform to show solidarity with his new allies. The Emperor was still surprised, despite his experience, to find his sister waiting for him in the hall. What really shocked him though was his brother Andrew was with her (getting Andrew to rise at a decent hour was a monumental achievement despite Andrew's time in the Naval Academy). Anne curtsied and Andrew bowed as the Emperor approached, and they soon fell in line behind him. When they made their way downstairs, they were informed that the Queen's motorcade was heading to the palace. It was Andrew, of course, who made the stated the obvious, "I guess that saves us a trip to the airport." |

The Queen's motorcade pulled up in front of the palace main doors after proceeding past the gate checkpoint and she exited, walking up to the Rathtinian royals. She put her phone back in her pocket after reading the last text from her now enthralled son reading: "Mother she's STUNNING, her beauty alone can redeem any nation, I must meet her!" "Your Imperial Majesties, and Highness's, so lovely to see you all again." Queen Maria then walked up to the Emperor handing to him the official code for her Royal Palace's official emergency red line, which always quickly linked to either the King, her, or the PM. "Anne, I now officially and formally extend to you an invitation to our holy kingdom, I think you'll love it. Please inform me promptly of your decision. I sincerely hope it's a yes." |

The Imperial Royal Family members had barely made it down the stairs when the Queen entered the Palace. When the Queen handed the Emperor the Justosian Royal Palace's official emergency code, he accepted it gracefully. He didn't get a chance to say thank you when the Queen invited Anne to Justosia. Anne looked blushed slightly and responded, "I wouldn't want to intrude on your time of mourning. However, if I may be of service to you or your country at this, your hour of need, then I am delighted to accept your invitatitom with my Emperor's blessing of course." The Emperor nodded his approval and sent one of his aides to start packing the Princess's belongings. He then said to the Queen, "Your Majesty, I am sorry your stay with us was cut short by this awful tragedy that has befallen you. Please always know that you have friends in Rathtinia. I have full confidence that Anne will represent us well during her trip to Justosia. May your trip be safe and free from any danger." |

"Thank you again Your Imperial Majesties and Highness's. My stay here has been grand, pleasant despite the tragedy. I will always fondly remember my first trip to your great empire, and bring back good word to my people. I look forward to seeing you soon Princess Anne, so does my son as well apparently." With that, Queen Maria shook their hands one last time, nodded, and exited the palace for the airport and her trip back home....... |

Several hours later, Princess Anne was on a plane headed toward Avalon. She accepted the Queen's invitation with trepidation. "Was she just extending a courtesy? Am I intruding? I want to be there for them, they seem like good people, but I'm basically a stranger." These thoughts raced through Princess Anne's mind. She busied herself with reading the dossiers on each of the royals. She knew that the Prince had a reputation for being a playboy, just like her brother Andrew, but also like her brother, there seemed to be a genuinely good person beneath that shallow exterior. "He must be in so much pain, losing someone so close to you, so soon." Anne had had her share of suitors, but like her older brother, was waiting for her soul mate. William found his in the younger sister of one of his best friends and after knowing her for several years did he only start a courtship. She had a few close friends, being a Princess made one extra careful in choosing who would be allowed to get close. The Emperor tried to set her up with the Empress's older brother, Victor, but despite being a good man and by far the finest of the men she had dated, there was no connection between them other than friendship. She saw the look in her brother's eyes when the Empress entered a room, and try as she might, Victor never did that to her. An intercom announcement snapped Anne from her train of thought as she felt the plane start to make its descent. She put away the dossiers and straightened herself up. She intended to strengthen the alliance between Rathtinia and Justosia and she wanted the Justosian people feel like the Rathtinians were a worthy friend. Anne looked out of the airplane as she saw the Avalon cityscape, "So beautiful. Different from Solaria, but yet, still just as lovely. This might not be as dour as I first thought," Anne thought to herself as the plane touched down. |

![]() Avalon, 10:22 P.M. The full view of the Avalon night skyline hit Princess Anne as the plane began to touchdown. The reasons behind Avalon's greatness caught her eye in the Capital Facts page of her dossier: -Past Kings and PMs have personally poured collectively 10 billion of their combined wealth into the foundation and construction of most of center city Avalon and the majority of its many sky scrapers as well. -The Senate also voted 55-44-1 in 1995 to contribute 20 billion of the then surplus to speed along the construction of center city, metro, and sub-metro areas. Part of this sum was also to offer a 10% tax break to major national businesses and prominent families to relocate to the capital to further its own municipal funds and prominence. Construction companies from all over helped in the construction, some at no cost, but through their patriotism alone. -His Holiness Marseilles II personally donated 5 billion from the HCOJ coffers to further pay for the completion of Avalon as it's seen today, listing it as a personal charitable donation. The combined cost of constructing the grand center city, metro, sub-metro areas, and the whole Avalon came to 200 billion Rubios in 2000, 500 billion Rubios today. -Avalon's new major relocated industries such as Batista Aerospace Corporation, Riqueza Records, Lecho Construction, and many more covered the other 165 billion in construction costs that the Royal Administration and church didn't, through their then record profits and then some throughout the last decade. -The total costs of the completed Todo Gloria Royal Palace came out to 1 billion Rubios in 2000. The Royal Family paid it all themselves. The government, church, and indeed the vast majority of the Justosian people aim to make Avalon the gem of Tenebris, all Hesperia, and encourage more tourism. Avalon was the heart and soul of the kingdom, and tho it didn't show, is massively defended by a wide array of Royal Military weaponry. To loose Avalon was virtually to loose a war to this nation. These facts helped to reassure Anne that these people intended to treat her, their ally, as well as they did their burgeoning capital city. The plane stopped on the tarmac and the door opened to a full ceremonial bland playing the Rathtinian National Anthem, motorcade waiting. |

Anne was completely taken in by the sight of Avalon. It was so beautiful. To compare Solaria, which had a more classical. romantic, appearance to Avalon would be a disservice to both. She had to concentrate hard not to stumble down the steps due to her attention being caught up in the sight of the Justosian capital city. The Princess made her way slowly, but surely to the waiting motorcade as she swiveled her head around to capture the sight of the city. She knew as she entered her car, that despite the sad occasion, this would a trip one she would never forget. |

![]() Royal Palace, 11:30 P.M. "She's here NOW!? Wow thanks for prep time mama. Ugh. Aide! Ummm....all white tux, all gold everything. You know the drill, move!" The Crown Prince ordered. "Son, I'm just home, really now." The Queen retorted as she kissed her husband, while they embraced, the King leaned in. "Did everything go satisfactory?" "Yes, it's done. Our nation is that much stronger now. Still not a green light for your.....quest.....but never the less." The King nodded. The Royal family then walked to the palace main gate to await the arrival of Princess Anne's motorcade. |

Princess Anne had to tear her gaze away from the countryside as she prepares to arrive at the Justosian palace. When the motorcade arrived at the Palace the Princess was indeed impressed. "Certainly equal to the Unity Palace in Solaria," the Princess thought to herself. The car stopped and the Princess made her way out and into the open air. Wearing her national colors, a blue dress, blue shoes, nude hose, and the tri-star gold earings which were the fashion in high society in Rathtinia, the Princess approached the waiting Justosian royals. She stopped before the king and curtsied. |
