Because I feel the need to arbitrarily show off my work, here's some of the stuff I've been making in Minecraft. For those of you who don't know, Minecraft is a sandbox game where you get an entire world to explore and gather resources, mostly by mining, and build things with them.![]() This first picture is a far-off shot of the "cathedral" I recently made. It took me 2--2 1/2 weeks to construct it. ![]() Here is the interior of the cathedral. Because I used the same material for 75% of the construction the textures make it hard to see the layout in this picture. To the left and right are pillars that wind their way up and are connected by arches. ![]() This is a desert shrine. It's not dedicated to anything, it just looks cool. ![]() This is a Greek style building on top of a cliff with water flowing from the roof down to the ground. Water physics are a little weird in Minecraft. Not only will the water never stop flowing, it's possible to swim up the waterfall and reach the top. ![]() In the distance you can see the village I built, Craftown. That one took as long, if not longer, to build as the cathedral. ![]() Here's a typical street in Craftown. Since most of the buildings look the same I had to make signs to tell where I was. ![]() Here's a tower I built, it was my first big project. I made a mistake in the beginning and didn't figure it out until I was a quarter way done, so it looks a bit wonky. |

Thanks guys! The game costs €14.95, which converts to about $24? The game is still in beta right now and the price will go up when it's finished, but if you buy it before the game is completed you get all the updates for free. There is multiplayer, but you have to find a host server or buy one. Here's my favorite minecraft video: |

I watched that one earlier today, but I don't really like it. I like the one that I posted that throws fireballs at you. It's funny cause it says "free candy" and it does give you candy, but you die. Haha!
