Ah, yes... Kennedy was indeed awesome!!! It was great fun. The day before we had lunch with Edgar Mitchell, the lunarbmodule pilot of Apollo 14, who is a family friend of ours. Coming up this week: I'm going on a cruise (yay!) so Internet may be a no-no for the next few days. If I'm not around, you'll know why... |

Coolness & light... well, for your warmth and alot of light in fact... enjoy! Tell the ship's captain to watch out for stray icebergs. |

But Aschaffenburg is Bavaria which means lots of rain and barely warm weather. I live near Kaiserlautern in Rhineland-Palatinate which has similar temperatures like south Italy. Mild winters and hot and humid summers. |

Its Germany man, I'm in Georgia... the single constant of our weather is hot & muggy... The changes are just variations on that theme. My son is 19 and just saw snow for the first time last Winter... or the one before... we got enough to cover the roofs of our cars with the white stuff. Just enough for him to admire it, be wowed about it and then get hit in the neck (just above the collar) with the snowball I scooped off my own car's roof. I think its important to give the lad a proper intro to the cold stuff. |

This winter we had 5 and a half feet of snow and had to wait three days until we could fly from my aunts in St. Louis back to Germany because the airport in Frankfurt was closed. |

I arrived through Frankfurt every time I went to Germany... heck, responded to a couple of terrorist attacks at the airport & PX... different times. |
