"So much for the 'delicate flower of nobility'..." Anum chuckles... "This is going to be quite interesting. In a day or so we'll reconvene with even higher ranking alleged diplomats who will probably misbehave in similar manner to the ones we've seen so far. Maybe, perhaps, we'll hear something new" he mulls as he retires from the room to seek out a reasonable diplomat to discuss matters with... "but I somhow doubt it" |

Anu-Asiya
|
A pretty young woman in a white dress walked in. She had long black hair, tanned skin and a tribal-type tattoo in her face (on her chin and on her cheeks below her eyes, bluish color). She was 23 years old and introduced herself: "I am Hezra of Anu, representative of Anu-Asiya in the peace talks. The Empress will only join us by video conferencing if needed. We arent here as a conflicting nation but more as support for our allies." |

King Francisco then saw Anum, and figured he'd be a King. "Greetings, New Emberline representative Anum. I am Carlos Pierre Francisco The Second, King of Justosia, and the supreme head of state that is apparently so wanted around here. I couldn't help but over hearing your remark, and I must correct you, in all due respect. In my nation, there is no nobility. Only elected local and national representatives, church clergy, and us, royalty. Royalty is far above nobility. I myself ended nobility, and the royal court when I officially and formally abolished our absolute monarchy in 1990, in favor of our current, Constitutional Monarchist Republic. I am not a diplomat, I'm a King, and here to make these supposed talks truly efficient, and prompt. I hope to have your support." |

Often it is at small receptions and balcony talks that things actually get done at these affairs... since no new session has been called it must be assumed that such a gathering is taking place: Anum actually laughs aloud at the remarks of a king about his not being a noble but takes a moment to compose himself "Oh, Frank... may I call you Frank? I'm Righ Anum Bomani. So I suppose, in this case... king to king as it were, we can not worry about it." He sips from his glass a moment then coninues his comments "Justosia isn't going to continue reading from the same cue cards your queen was using is it? I mean, and no offense intended, diplomacy requires some flexibility and your Lady had none at all. At this time I, and by extension the New Emberline Senate, supports nobody... we're observers with an interest in not seeing the region engulfed in a war that would eventually escalate into nuclear devastation for all involved." |

Serafine takes the stand once again: "I have already cited that we shall move our tests near Githa in a controlled Zone. We shall not sign the AA treaty, there is no legal obligation for us to do so. As for lack of Justosian recognition, we will force recognition this summer by composing a resolution which will make it a legal obligation for all nations to recognise our State and it's borders." |

Anu-Asiya

Hezra stood up with a cigarette in her mouth: "Prismos can also use the Anu-Asiyan test grounds, if they want. We do not have a problem with allies using our testing grounds. We also hope that all other nations will recognize Prismos since they have borders, allies and their own government which is stable." Hezra then sat back down exhaling the smoke from her cigarette. |

"My darling wife did her duty good sir. She defended our nation, its national security, and interests. However, I feel these talks will go faster, and again, more efficient with me here. From what I see, the nations of Githa, Emerald, and Prismos are holding these talks up. They are making absurd demands, and being disrespectful. However, thankfully, I hear that Prime Minister Villiussi has come up with a compromise, that seems sound. With that, it is my hope we can move past this silly base issue, and to the meat here, Prismos." King Francisco then turned his ear to the direction of the conference room. -LAUGHTER- "Oh MY! Prismos really is a nation of novices, no? Their 'representative' is addressing an empty room and clearly has no idea what the AA can and CAN'T do. With this rudeness, atop their provocative actions. I surely see no reason to recognize them. Amusing Lord Bomani, no?" |

Serafine goes back to her delegation and says: "There are Anu-Asiyan diplomats left in the room and so are we, we haven't left yet but I tell the Press, that these talks are increasingly futile, no nation can force a sovereign nation to comply with a bully's demands. Let me make it clear, we are not a rogue nation. We are one of few nations in Xia which actually recognises the Holy Church of Justosia and allows it's members to practice freely in our nation (Prismos is a nation in which you can see a Justosian Church next to Anu-Asiyan Temple). We have an excellent civil rights record and we believe in peace and equality. Edited by Prismos, Apr 5 2011, 06:42 PM.

"And so it begins once more..." He stands and walks to the center of the room "If there is anything to be gained here today, tomorrow or ever..." his voice fills the room as if he were a sergeant addressing a room "You will all have to lay aside your personal predjudices, your silly prideful foibles and set to work to advance the causes of Peace and Prosperity for your nations. If we walk away with things as they are, each of you will be at war within the month. Said war will be unfortunate and probably end with a nuclear exchange. From what I've seen, not a single one of you has any concern save to leave everybody trying to survive in whatever nuclear wasteland you might leave." He drains his wine glass and sets it firmly on a table before continuing his impromtu address of the room, now walking among the delegates and leaders. "The posturing, the little petty blame games you have all been playing at... right alongside the mutual protests of being the wronged party... if you are all so Godscursed set on peace, why in the name of Hade's bunghole are we so close to war that we have to be here?" With a casual gesture at King Francisco "Your queen's prideful stance and deplorable actions prevented much of the limited progress of yesterday from standing. Today you seem dead set on doing similar." He shifts his gaze and gestures again the the newest delegate "Your nation didn't even bother to show up until it was plain the world was starting to consider you a joke." He continues through the room "Prismos, choosing a site you knew would cause issues and alarm for a nuclear test got all this mess started... " He stops himself and simply waves in annoyance at those he didn't name "None of you are innocent in this matter, not one. There have been reasonable options laid out but you have all shown yourselves to be pitiful stewards of your people's interests. If a single one of you had any concern other than being the big alpha male of the pack... we'd be done here by now. I could go home to my wife and enjoy my beach home for the rest of my holiday. Instead I am here, nursmaiding you all through the painful process of not letting you commit group suicide." A baleful, sweeping look around the room follows "Is there a single one of you that has the ability to see past your own nose at the problems you have all, jointly and together, caused internationally?" "Just one?" |

King Francisco knew he must maintain official Justosian royal dignity, and protocol. He rose. "I will first remind you gathered 'diplomats' that this is STILL a recess. ANYONE attempting to officially address this conclave, will therefore, look like an uncouth, simpleton. Lord Bonami, please refrain from your false, and derogatory comments about Her Royal Majesty my wife, as she is gone now, and no longer relevant really. Please save some face now, and kindly seat yourself, fall back. In respect to our noble host, Prime Minister Villiussi, please remain at recess, and go about your business. Rest assured, when this conclave DOES officially reconvene, I will be personally seeing that these 'talks' finally have some prompt efficiency to them." King Francisco then left the room to fetch a steward for some wine of his own that met his standards....... |
