True... I reckon that twice the number is good. I think it should be: I18: Vantel Artfulia Demoness ELE Emerald Greater Laddneia Leraq Morattica Neolantia Slostia Taeunus Xosaia Githa Stefannica Orchyre Anu Asiya Tristram Zelensgart Edited by Leraq, May 28 2011, 11:59 AM.

Okay, I'm kind of late to the party but here's what I'm thinking. First of all let's not call them G groups. RL G groups are based on the size of a nations economy and that's not the case here so it confuses people. Call it the International Something Group the the members the I9 or I15 to distinguish that it's something different from the rl G8. So... IC what is this group, how was it formed, what is it's purpose, etc. That's would give some clarity to who should and shouldn't be member. We have a world with a lot of crises and our beloved bureaucratic swamp at the AA isn't especially good at dealing with them. IC then Greater Ladd decides that it wants to form a group outside the AA to do something about it. Do things like discuss potential AA treaties without all the infighting etc. Who do they invite? Proactive nations that seem to good at getting stuff done. Maybe it's because they have a strong economy, or maybe they're small but especially skilled at diplomacy. It's a working group that Ladd put's together that doesn't have formal set criteria. That would seem to resolve the 'who belongs in it thing'. It's a club of the influential and the bossy ![]() That's a little rambly I know, but the idea that it's more of an informal club or working group is my main point. I'll think it through a bit more an post more later. |

@Leraq: I thought the whole point was that we put the numbers in, and that decided everything. We all were allowed to spend the same amount of points. If that's not true, then what's the point of the numbers to begin with, hm? |

Point one, I couldn't agree more; I have chosen these groups on a range of factors, not just economic to gather together a group of the nine most influential active nations. From now on it will be I9 & I18... Point 2: You get the whole idea later in your post: This group is an attempt to form a small efficient and powerful informal group who will try to discuss problems in Alterra and suggest solutions to these outside of the shambles of our much loved AA. Note this group will have no international authority, it can only make resolutions that it will pass on bills to the AA, or enforce the ruling among member states Point 3: I am very happy with who's in at the moment. The I9 is ready to go, in my opinion. I have compiled a group of the nine most powerful and proactive nations. These have been chosen because I think, with them, all the spheres of our world will be represented, all the major continents; Xia, Hesperia and Zephyria; as well as different types of nation; Military super-powers, nuclear states, ex imperial nations, powerhouse economies and out spoken nations (Cough: Demoness!! ) People seem happy with the choice and so am I; so For this reason I am not willing to enter another 13 pages of discussion about the I9 members! This group is final. As for the I18: I would like the discussion to continue because I'm not certain about who the members should be yet! Point 4: It seems that these nations are the bossy ones, but that wasn't intentional! ![]() Just to refresh the I9 will be: Neolantia Demoness Xosaia ELE Greater Laddneia Leraq Slostia Artfulia Taeunus Edited by Greater Laddneia, May 28 2011, 11:57 AM.

^this. Unless you're advocating that the setup of some nations makes them stronger than other nations, which will always be 100% up for debate from all sides. Someone might argue that someone who blows most of their points in the air force is the strongest, others will advocate a strong navy or army, people like me would declare that their own eccentric set ups are the 1337, and I'd assume Leraq would just sit back and giggle at us all with their ridiculous nuclear stockpile. Armed forces of any kind as a deciding factor for G membership is always going to be a mess. |

If the IC history of the group(s) is what Skye said, which I quite like, then it doesn't make much sense for there to be two of them. Go with a single I-group of however many nations is appropriate to get a range of opinion while still being efficient, and let that be it. |

I wouldn't agree with you. 2 groups are better. |
