Ok, well then here's Morattica's I18 application if you still want these: We have an industrialized economy that's among the fastest growing in the world (or at least, I've been RPing it as such, we've never really had to set down figures or appeal to any kind of economics committee). Very high overall industrial capacity, I would assume second only to Slostia in the immediate region. There hasn't been much activity in Libera thus far, but if it's going to develop anything like Africa, then I'd venture to say we're the most economic and militarily powerful nation on the continent, or at least the best optimized to both those respects. Again, probably weaker than Slostia just for size and the head start they had, but probably a tad stronger than Zelensgart given our staunch capitalist economy. Regardless, our tendrils are all over world trade. We're a major trading partner of ELE and Xosaia, and we used to be a partner with Illimidius before they ceased to exist. I'm currently working out agreements with the LRI and Tartye, of which the later would have been in existence since some time in the mid-twentieth century. With regards to our actual government, it's a federated republic with strong libertarian principles, so not too many worries about popular revolts or anything like that. EDIT: THat's LATER, not former. Agreement with Tartye since the mid-20th century. |

Thats a bias you can afford to have. Capitalism =/= stronger economy than communism in of itself. |

Historically Capitalist nations have been more successful than any of the Communist states so I'd say it's a fair bet that Capitalist states have stronger economies |

Historically, not by the math. the USSR had a very strong economy. It stood up to us for nearly fifty years. |

It was also gigantic. There are exceptions to every rule, this isn't the place to discuss them, and remember I'm trying to make myself look good here, so . . . yeah. |

Communism can work very well, both by economic, social and its own theory. There have been very few communists states, so the sample size is unworkable. |

Not really siding with either of you, but I did want to point out that the US was also gigantic... So it's more that they both had access to all or most of the resources they needed.EDIT: Though if you want to continue the debate, I can split this stuff off into a separate thread. I'd be interested in reading the arguments provided you don't start trying to decapitate one another or something. Edited by Demoness, May 30 2011, 09:59 PM.
