I can look around yonder what kind of programs are available, there has to be some somewhere. I could also ask the NS world cup on the NS forums to see what they use, I'm pretty sure it's scorinator. I'm not very skilled in this area, but I could be... |

Do we want a spreadsheet or one of the java programs, I can do both, but I think the spreadsheet might be better. "learn the math before you use the calculator" type of deal. I'm glad that people are interested in this. |

I did this once with American football if anyone would be interested. I thought it was kinda cool. I created a fairly complex spreadsheet where each player decided on 59 different stats from the QB’s stats to the Safety’s stats as well as special teams and coaching. The spreadsheet created the outcome while using a few random numbers that favored the better team and generated 21 game stats for each team. Everything from time in possession and touchdowns, to interceptions fumbles and field goals. I may be interested in this, but I don’t know much about Football (soccer) |

I'm sure lots of people could help you out there I personally soccer more than the ole gridiron, but bothe are entertaining to watch. I was also curious if someone understands java etc. I see that most score machines are done in that style. If not, I'm sure a spreadsheet will do until someone joins who knows it or whatnot. With a spreadsheet we could just post the instructions to use it, like which algorithms go in which cells, and then anyone who has excel or another spreadsheet program could host the championship. Of course, if we made a program, that would be obsolete.

I was beginning to think me bringing up American Football killed the thread ![]() Yea, I don't know anything about java but that's what I did with my spreadsheet. I posted it so others could see how it worked. But they just gave me their stats and I fed them into the spreadsheet to get the results. I would then chose one game a week and come up with a "Game of the Week" where a panel of Commentators would go through the game quarter by quarter and talk about it. Players names could be used and the commentators would personalize it. It was kinda fun! |

That's exactly what I was thinking! The ability to truly make the team your own is precisely what I was envisioning. Can you give me the name of that thread please? Again I say, I am truly glad that people are interested. Oh, an don't worry about the football thing, I live in the USA and so I get it all the time. I don't understand why both sides can't just agree that both games are fun and get over it |

Florinthus: I did that somewhere else, another online game, so there is no thread here. Not to mention it was like 6 or 8 years ago...I'm surprised because I still have the spreadsheet! |
