On that subject...I know it's your policy not to reveal the criteria required for each tier but to be honest, I'm a little confused. I get the general idea that the tiers are a measure of how advanced an economy is; I'm just not clear what 'advanced' means in this context. More efficient? Eco-friendly? Service based? High tech? The phrase 'advanced economy' can mean many different things, depending on your vantage point. If, as you say, the rankings are not trying to be a direct measure of economic strength, then why the need for secrecy? Surely it would be better to reveal how the tier system works so that players are better able to interpret what 'Tier 1', 'Tier 2' etc actually mean in practice. |

It is supposed to measure how developed your nation is, since a nation's level of development is intertwined with its economy. This is also why it doesn't directly measure economic strength. |

Yes, but how are you measuring development? If I say that Nation A is more developed that Nation B, what does that actually mean in practice? |
