@Laddneia: How about we combine our efforts and turn it into an uber-launch site? I could get XIDA funding for it too(so we could make it have hovering swimming pools and death star laser turrets! ).

Hmmm... Laddneia does have a lot of spare money swimming around, now that it doesn't have to support the UHAA, I say go! We'll launch Nopeus and massive Tutkimusmatkailija rockets, even though they're very pointless... |

Just to make it clear - space is not militarized. Period. |

@Arc: True; Alterra is not that size; but for all I know the moon may be especially close / an orbit of a much larger moon close by could also have that effect... |

We only have one large moon similar to our own. The rest are all captured asteroids that aren't all that large. It's just not massive enough/gravitationally possible. And yes, Emerald, I'm positive. Unfortunately, we already have a Gas Giant in an impossible orbit around our star, so whatevs. We could have moonmen, for all I care. Welcome to Fiction. |

@Arcadon; fair enough: Jist wanted to point out it COULD be possible for any planet/moon/satelite to become tectonically active |

Not on such a small moon/planet combo. I suppose the only possibility I could think of was if the moon itself had a rather dense metallic core and an active rotation and magnetosphere, but any volcanic activity would be short lived at best. |
