I have come to wonder how many of each sex we are here in Alterra. I have noticed a small comment on the amount of assumed women playing in this sandbox, and thought it would be fun to have an estimate! Just out of curiosity, really. I'm not going to use it against the forum if there is a lot of women here(Do not even know how to do that anyway, really..) I have actually a "thing" about female rulers which is reflected in Mulifortemis ![]() So: Are you Woman, Transgender or Man? (What constitutes a person's gender: In my opinion mostly your physical gender but you might feel like a woman but have a penis or reversed, then transgender is probably the correct "lable". I'm a tad uncertain of the exact definitions here.. In many cases, though I think it's all in your head what you are. We are no longer restricted to our physical form in this day and age, I think.) I don't ask you to reveal yourselves or anything, just wondering about the figures, really. But if you DO wish to share your gender identity do so by all means. (Feels like support group.. "I am Muli, and I am a MAN!" "Applause for Muli!" "Yeah, just get it out, brother! We're all in the same boat here, we know how it feels!") |

Physically a woman; mentally neuter. I'm mainly a tomboy in interests and appearance, but personality-wise I'm still apparently fairly feminine - though most of that I blame on hormones and Buddhism, the latter of which is irony since I'm also misanthropic. |

How many of each sex I am? 13 women and 27 men. And I'm only half joking, I have dozens of different personalities stored in me, utilised when the time is right. |

Well there you have it! I'm brought up by women mostly, so I'm close to half n' half myself^^ And as for several personalities, well I probably do have moments of split personality but it's more like an internal personalization of desires and needs. Like The Shopper vs. The Rational realist when in shopping centres. They're gender neutral. |

LOL. Demoness stole my post XD. Sex: Female Gender: I'm gonna say I fall somewhere in the middle. (Some in society will argue that there are more than 2, or even 3, genders. I won't open that can of worms though.) I'm a tomboy, always have been. |

There are several non-European societies that had three or more genders historically but they have been discarded in modern times. If this had conformed with Demonessian culture I would have adopted it; unfortunately, it does not and really only survives in the understanding that a "male" or "female" spirit may be reincarnated in the "incorrect" body. Hermaphrodites are not acknowledged and have to choose a gender to legally live as, but are otherwise left alone.
I'm a Gemini, so I totally have excuses. Though being a good writer (or DM for that matter) is like having split personalities too.

I have so many personalities running around in my head its not funny, and they all want attention >.> But I'm not a Gemini so I guess I don't have an excuse? Or perhaps its my Leo traits that make them all want time in the spotlight? Astrology makes my head hurt >.< |

Astrology is honestly stupid. Because of stellar drift, we're all technically not the signs we're "assigned" at birth anyway. It's a remnant of ancient superstition and the need of the human race to know the future. Though for future reference, I feel the same way about all personality profilers, including scientific ones; it's just that I'm angry at astrology for making me feel stupid for standing in the New Age section in the bookstore even if I'm looking for a legitimate book (all non-Abrahamic religious books are placed there). |

LMAO. What's wrong with standing in the New Age section? (Knows she always sneaks through and does a drive by grab if she wants a book from there >.>) |

"Hello!" *Waves enthusiastically to the other member of the support group* "I'm Yasutomi, and I'm a male soul inhabiting the body of an evil little girl from a Japanese horror film, who acts like a man when she isn't deploying her unnatural cuteness for tactical advantage." *Looks around and wonders why there is suddenly no one else in the support group* Sorry...couldn't resist. ![]() In RL I'm male and identify as male (although I have been on a hen night), but online I sometimes adopt a female/neuter persona as I enjoy playing female characters and some people have issues RPing with a female character who is played by a man (there was I thinking that the whole point of 'roleplay' was to play a different role). And before anyone gets the idea that I'm some sort of stalker, the opposite is true as I'm often the one being harassed!!! I have an enormous amount of sympathy for female RPers because I have first-hand experience of just how easy it is to attract unwanted OOC attention online. Seriously...it's disturbing the way some guys will latch on to someone if there's a chance that they're female. |
