Hmm... I think my chaotic character would have let Fate decide that one. I'm surprised though that the good ones universally wanted the child to live. Practically every "good" character I've ever known was CG and used that as an excuse to do whatever they liked, even if it was evil, because that was they believed to be right... |

My party tries to argue that they can do that because they're all neutral, and therefore have no alignment to follow... |

Yes, anything to justify doing whatever you want. People never take the alignments seriously and the ones who do usually try to weasel into NE instead. That's why I don't like 4e. It seems like they just gave up on alignments altogether when they had the opportunity to actually redo the system. Then again, I also have nothing nice to say about 4e. |

Aside from "4tard sucks" I have nothing nice to say about it either... and that's about as nice as I can get about it. |

Lol. I actually have a friend who gets violent any time I disparage 4e in his presence... Which is odd because he was great at 3e too. |

Don't get me started on Paladins... Most. Abused. Class. Ever. On the other hand my wife & I have stripped class from more than one over the years... and we've stripped away Ranger classes for evil (and generally stupid) crap as well. We currently have a fighter arguing tooth & nail that he isn't LG... he's NG damnit, his sheet says so! He went out of his way to commit a randomly stupid act of douchbaggery just to ensure he was acting 'Chaotic' enough to stay out of 'Lawful' territory. He just blinked without comprehension when I informed him that it simply proved he was even more uberly Lawful than I though. By thinking it through and calculating how he could 'prove' his Chaos... he was demonstrating his Lawfulness... Sometimes I love playing mind games |

Maybe you should try a rpg without alignment. What about Legends of Anglerre? |

We play those as well... MW/BT, Game of Thrones (or whatever Green Ronin is calling it) and Traveller to name only a few... but when its there, especially if its significant, we use 'em. |
