Hey eveeyone I am having some trouble compiling a decent military for my country the Republic of Iyori. So seeing as I am far too lazy, I wish to ienlist the help of another to comple my military for me. To basically come up with a list of the number of troops, and the costs everything. Now people would probably be asking, 'Well how can I be sure that this won't come back to bite me in the ass' well don't fret my country is a neutral one. I have the same military and defence policy as Sweden that is to have the worlds largest and most advanced neutral standing military, and to codefy that fact I am going to make it part of my nations consitution Now here are my numbers thus far. Defence Budget: $269,832,973,100.871 Population: 127,101,223 Population of Military Personnel:5,084,048.92 (4% of population) Now I know this might seem unusual, but still I am lazy and whatever in terms of RP anyone wants in return, excluding a military alliance, I will be happy to ablidge. So any Volunteers? Anyone feel free to PM me about this if they have any ideas. Edited by Iyori, Sep 27 2011, 10:42 PM.

Your military population is unsustainable, fully a 10% military would have next to no equipment and would be a nightmare for a human to track, not to mention pay as soldiers usually make more than minimum wage. a more realistic maximum is 4% and that still means a poorly equipped military. |

Okay, but just remember that at 4%, you'll either have piss poor units across the board, or you'll have a few good units and a ton fighting with pitchforks and random cutlery |

To put this in perspective, Xosaia has a 30 billion defense budget, out of a total budget of 675 billion.

The United States defense budget is around 600-700 billion. Major European countries like France, UK and Germany spend around 40-60 billion. Only about 10% of rl nations spend more than 20 billion. I advise that you consider the minimum you'd be ok with, then try to cut 5-10% of that. Edited by Xosaia, Sep 28 2011, 12:32 AM.

Well yes I get the point, but my country has a larger population and tax base with a larger budget. what if I kept the budget but reduced the amount of military personnel? |
