I once read a quote something similiar to,

"do not fear that which you have no knowledge of, rather, learn to understand it"

this quote springs to mind when I think of these right winged groups driven by emotion, thats why I have joined this forum. I feel its a great opportunity to learn and contribute positely in dealing with EDL's many erroneous claims and breaking down the barriers for those who fear what they dont know.

May Allah guide us and the people from the darkness of ignorence to the light of knowledge. ameen.

Walaykum as salaam Submission. Jazahkallah Khairun for joinin the forum. There is definitely a process of fear mongering going on with the EDL and their likes. They feed off peoples ignorance and spread enmity and hate.

I look forward to your contribution to our efforts here. Please encourage your friends and family to join up also.
And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, "We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him."

ma sha Allah, welcome brother submission, you wrote the very thing which motivated me also to join this forum. Please post as much as you can.
Allah says "Let there be no compulsion in religion, indeed truth and guidance is made crystal clear from ambiguity and falsehood" TMQ - Chapter 2 verse 256. He most high and blessed also said: "Indeed, We hurl the Truth against falsehood, and it knocks out its brain, and behold falsehood does perish! TMQ- Chapter 21 verse 18.
