Devil's Advocate Posts: 619 Group: Super Mods Member #52 Joined: June 18, 2007	This is what Sybaris found: I just timed all the main attack skills, but didnt find any difference between strafe and of the other attack skills. Nothing too high-tech...just counting the number of shots in 30 seconds and then repeating a few times to make sure (you cant seem to do much more than this without the anti-botting countermeasures kicking in). I found all the skills to have the same number of shots per minute: 66 = attack 74 = attack+fast xbow 78 = attack + booster 80 = attack + fast xbow + booster. I also tried the following with a bow: 74 = attack 78 = attack + fast bow But being a sniper couldnt go any further in the bow tests. It would be nice if someone could finish it off. These results did suprise me as I always imagined that strafe was slightly faster than other attacks.

Try doing AB and strafe, if strafe seems slower than you know you have a problem. not strafe... DOUBLE SHOT i'm saying DOUBLE SHOT is SLOWER than other skills... INCLUDING strafe... when it's shot after killing a monster or at least it seems like it to me... lemme test it again hmm... alright maybe i was seeing things... but i swear sometimes i feel double shot is SLOOW-er

With strafe, the time between damage dealt, and your next shot is shorter than it is for DS, creating the illusion of a faster fire rate. cough hehe Both of these geniuses (I use that term widely :rolleyes: ) are correct =o (Both thought of it on their own =P) Oh, and: 200 posts, w00t

Anyways, this is what I meant to say: Reginleif I tested it. No change. I got 84spm against a Goby House and shooting thin air for Strafe, Double Shot, and Arrow Blow. To those who think Strafe is faster: IN YOUR FACE. However, I've noticed that most rangers seem to think the speed is the same while most snipers seem to think it's faster, so it may be different for snipers. Doubt it though. It just seems faster, because of the 4 arrows/second thing. Yeah it fires more arrows a second, but not faster. And yeah, arrow blow does seem faster but its not.
