Pierce; damages for various mob sizes

Ok, I went off the guess that Pierce would be the opposite of IA. That is instead of decreasing by multiples of (1-.18)^x, it's Damage and critical rate increase by multiples of (1+.18)%^x.

SE was assumed to simply add the % damage at the end. So, critical hits with SE would be skill % + 100% + SE %.

The following image sums up my findings:

I couldn't do much other than that because there are several pieces of info I don't know:
1. SoA's actual startup time. (I just guessed about .8 secs).
2. Pierce's startup and/or charge time. Does it have a startup time? Or just a charge time?
3. Pierce's firing time.
4. Verification that the formula's used for SE and pierce's damage are accurate.

Also, if you have suggestions on how to make the Excel file more Pretty, that would be appreciated.

Pierce charges for 1.24 seconds and takes .76 seconds to fire. So, 2 seconds total for Pierce.

I'm pretty sure it's like this.
1.24 second before you can release.
1 second before it's fully charged.
0.7 second to shoot.
2.94 seconds total


For the timing we'll just have to observe from whatever videos are posted, or just wait till 4th job and test it out.

At 2:27 he is hit while still finishing up charging Pierce. Apparently, he is KBed and the shot is released, but possibly weaker than normal, and only has a very short range only hitting the 2 nearest monsters.

according to this, pierce does over 12 times as much damage as strafe with maxed sharp eyes. if pierce were maxed earlier than sharp eyes, the difference would be even greater.

Sharp Eyes is more a priority than pierce, significantly because it enhance's strafe's damage also. And it's a party skill.

accept... but ask for an HB, heal, HS and meso up slaves too :P
power comes with a price, the price is getting more exp, get rich and not dying... lol
December, 2006: Starbomba is Born
December 2006: 1st Job Advancement (at lvl 11, had 24 dex at lvl 10; along with 14 int, 20 luk and some AP into HP and MP xD)
March 2007: 2nd Job Advancement (with Max Focus, Blessing and lvl 4 Eye, lvl 11 Crit, lvl 1 AB and lvl 3 DS)
June 2007: lvl 46, Maxed Eye
September 2007: lvl 57, got DS to lvl 10
November 2007: lvl 63, maxed Crit
March 2008: 3rd Job Advancement (still with 14 int 20 luk xD)
August 2008: Got hacked 400m if my lvl 90 equips when i was lvl 89 @ 67.54% T__T
October 2008: Stopped merchanting, got some stuffs, back to lvling :)
