Ranger vs. Sniper; I did a bunch of tests today..

Brickmaster Posts: 1,178 Group: Super Mods Member #87 Joined: October 24, 2007	Me and Sureshot did a bunch of tests today. First, we tested move+shoot. Spam attack, while moving forward. Sureshot moved further, faster, while I lagged behind alot... When I got on my friends Ranger, We tied. Then, we had a little KS war at Jr. Wraiths (the mansion map) We limited ourselves to only using Strafe, and for 8 minutes we killed as many as we could. I got more kills in the end, but we did notice 1 thing. When both of us fired at the same time, He got the kill, and I got anything that was behind the first kill. This of course because Bows have less of a pickup time than Xbows, and wasn't too surprising. Then we tried IA vs AB, and this is what shocked me. When we both fired at the same time, I got all the first kills, Sureshot hit the ones that my IA didn't decimate. (I totally owned him as far as exp gainfor the 10 minutes we fought because of this) With pure strafe, Ranger gets the first kill, Sniper gets the one behind it, with IA vs AB, it seemed Sniper won out every time... We found out why it all was. Sureshot went on my account, I went on my mule, we went to Nependeaths. Whichever did the most damage, got the kill, plain and simple. IA won over AB, because it did more damage. Strafe lost to a regular arrow, because Strafe does less damage per arrow, than a regular arrow. Its weird, but apparently, when both a Ranger and a Sniper fire at the same time, whichever does more damage in 1 arrow gets the kill, regardless of everything else...

We tested it for 10 minutes each. It could be lag, but as far as I could tell on my screen, and on Sureshots screen, We fired at the same time.

AGF Member Posts: 91 Group: Members Member #111 Joined: January 8, 2008	I think the Arrow Bomb and Iron Arrow thing is pretty believable, since Arrow bomb probably wont KO the first monster, and there's a tiny pause after the initial hit before the explosion hits the other monsters, so IA, will get a few kills since it just hits on contact, before Bomb blows up the other monsters. and btw, Welcome to DaRealSureshot? says you only have 1 post :)

We were sitting on one side of the map, spamming our mobs, and the first explosion I saw, was when I said "Wow, no explosio...nvm, there's one"

But with this he looked like ranger. Outta 15 IA/AB spams I say AB hit a good2~3 times lol
