Brickmaster Posts: 1,178 Group: Super Mods Member #87 Joined: October 24, 2007	We've just got SO much flexibility :D In our 3rd job builds, We have the option of getting anywhere from 15-30 Eagle, We only need 21 Bliz, and Mortal Blow isn't all that important for us so we can leave it at 5. You could even Max Thrust, and Blizzard, and still not be harmed that much by the consequences :D sigh MB is useless Bliz is good at lv 21 Eagle is useless Strafe, AR, Puppet...max them, and still have 30 points left over... In 4th job, we don't have to worry about how much SE + Mastery makes our new attacking skill stronger, because simply adding into that attacking skill a few times makes it stronger, and adding SE or Mastery makes both IA and Pierce increase in damage the same amount. We don't have to worry about adding much (if any) into Blind, because it just saves pots (Useful, no doubt, but not essential) Freezer at lv 1, is far more useful than GE at max, so lv 1 in that is useful too. All we need to worry about is whether to get higher SE, or Pierce, and then the rest is mostly just obvious (Kinda like the AR vs. Strafe thing, and then its not as important).

It may be opinion whether or not something is useless, but it's NEVER fact, everything has some use. A more accurate phrase word be less useful... Something is only useless when it does absolutely nothing, like Meditation on a Warrior My take on it :rolleyes:

IA does about 3 shots in the time Pierce does 1 shot. At lv 1, Pierce does 320% on the first monster, and since it increases by 1.18 per monster, its... a total of 320+337+445+525= 1627% average without crits on 4 monsters in 2 seconds IA does on 4 monsters a similar 180% on the first, and decreases damage by .18 per monster. 180+147+121+99 = 547%*3 = 1641% average damage without crits 4 monsters in 2 seconds Now to see if its better to get SE instead of Pierce early on... Pierce Vs. Iron Arrow + SE 1787% for lv 1 Pierce, 2673% on IA with lv 1 SE 2620% for lv 5 Pierce, 2673% on IA with lv 5 SE 2767% for lv 10 Pierce, 2745% on IA with lv 10 SE Its probably better to skip Pierce and just get SE, since SE does more than just boost IA, and IA + SE is better than Pierce on its own. After you get both SE and Pierce to lv 10, It will outdamage Iron Arrow. Of course, now I'll look at 10 SE + Pierce vs. SE + IA.... 2183% for lv 1 Pierce, 2745% for IA 3016% for lv 5 Pierce, 2745% for IA Somewhere between lv 1-5 Pierce gets better than IA with 10 SE

The other stats don't matter. Done.
