Well the old maps were of course flat

The mid maps had 1 platform that wasn't a nucsince, I maintained my same pph on z3 even with the plat.

Haven't visited the new ones yet. Maybe I will today.

BTW, Imma go write up black kents, just gotta get some info real fast.

Leafre: The Area of Black Kentaurus

Black Kentaurus
Spawn: Medium~High
Training Cost: Medium~High
Movement: Medium
EXP/HP: 1/23.1
Overall Rating: B

I Recommend: Level 85+; Decent Strafe; 11 Bliz for snipers; Some hawk for rangers; 3+ puppet

Notes: Snipers and rangers take slightly different routes. The two pits are snipable from the middle raised area, although Kents spawn on that raised area. After clearing the bottom enough, the right platform can be sniped from the right most wall (they're spears barely hit you). Then the left side is agro them all, then puppet on that top platform. For snipers, you will want to freeze/strafe any single kents, especially when you are on the middle sniping the pits. Rangers need to hawk/strafe. Watch the gophers, they pop out of the ground at certain spots. You will get hit a lot, and they don't drop anyhting special.

Check Crome's Black Kentaurus - Early Sniper training guide for more indepth info.
I cannot agree with the inclusion of Black Kents to the training areas now. There are a lot of better alternatives for Bowmen for less potion cost. Examples are Gobies, Squids, Vikings, Herb Town Pirates, and Jr. Newties (if you are insane in wanting to train on that monster for months). Some amount of these maps are empty, and also a good amount of them are great for parties, so I see no reason for Black Kents. If you wanted to make money off of a lucky drop you are better off finding Ilbis at Wolf Spiders.

I also recently viewed the guide and saw that Manteons were taken off. I find Manteons an excellent alternative to PQing at the level ranges of level 40~50 on a lot of classes. I was there on my Crossbowman, Fighter, and my Bandit. The experience they give is good, has a nice long flat map, and you can share with a friend.

Figured I'd sign up XD and I wanted an edit but I can't since I was a guest.  Pandas and Grizzlys are an absolute waste of time.  Coolies have better spawn, give more exp, have less hp, have less Wdef, and have better drops...

I think Weapon Defense should somehow factor in this ratio however.  Some monsters like the trickster (lol) are very tricky in this manner.  Although they have a wonderful ratio for their level, they have more than twice the WDEF of the monsters their level (zombie mushroom) which means any first jobbers will have an even harder time fighting them.  I went there one day and was sorely displeased with these findings.  Although it's a minor change with loads of work involved, it would truely be helpful.

Well the actual drops that Coolies have suck, but the mesos and the Zombie Teeth are good.

Well, Pandas and Grizzleys move faster as well. They hit you just as often as coolies and have nil mobbing potential except the bottom of map I (which you have to clear about 5 other platforms to get a sizable mob) The bottom of map II was somewhat cool since you could IA though the hills in the middle of the platforms, but no more than two or three bears would ever spawn in them, so it was a waste.

I tried out 50 Year Old Herb Garden last night and STDs make it look awful. I suppose you could use it if you can't get the first map of STDs, but the monsters move faster than STDs and although a bit weaker, I just didn't like it. The spawn can compare to STDs, but you lose a bit of training climbing up to mob the middle platform. It's also difficult because IA doesn't curve. With Arrow Bomb you could easily mob the entire platform safely from the tiny platform to the right. The spawn is just about as fast as STDs. Maybe with a Hunter with 30 AB taking the middle platform and a Crossbowman taking the bottom it would work, but I'd still be doubtful of it's usefulness when compared to STDs.
I was training there on my Warrior solo and split the map with my other Warrior friend, also split the map with my Hunter friend. The bottom has a huge spawn, you can mob well down there, also at the top mid platform often times I get a mob of 4 going, then the upper side platforms I get mobs of 3 often. I belive Grizzlies are good for mobbers since they mob a lot better than Zombies. At Zombies I was using single hit attacks more. Also if you have Arrow Bomb you can stand on the little steps and Arrow Bomb away from a safe distance hitting a mob of Grizzlies.

I don't remember why I took them off, but I think I concluded that Platoon Chronos were more accessible and had, more or less, the same stats.

Foggy Forest seems okay-ish for an Arrow Rain/Eruption build now that down jump is available.

Hey, I saw how you needed help there. I'm a Lv53 Hunter. Each monster gives me about .01% exp. Great spawns and great sniping areas. I recommend AB or IA. Both can be knocked back pretty easily and give good money.
Ginseng Jars are Lv48 and have a 1/22.6 exp ratio.
Jars themselves are Lv47 and have a 1/23 exp ratio.
I give this area an A- or a B+. I hoped this helped!

I think you should add the Windraiders at Crossroads to the training guide. It's good exp.

Starbomba

Hi saph
I've read you need people to review training guide. these are the archers i've got access to (mine and my friends's):

Starbomba - lvl 90 scrwed up stats low-STR Sniper (60 base STR, 14 nt, 20 LUK, 2724 HP with a nishada and a 30 hat)
- Screwed up 1st job build (10 DS, 1 AB, every other skill maxed)
- Sacrificed 2nd job build (to fix 1st job build, 2 PKB, FA-less, every other skill normally maxed)
- AE first 3rd job build (30 erupt, 17 strafe, 5 MB, 6 puppet, 2 eagle, 1 bliz)

Krlox - lvl 86 low-STR Ranger (77 STR, 12 LUK and normal HP)
- Altered 1st job build (everything normal, except 20 AB)
- Sacrificed 2nd job build (18 booster, 2 PKB, FA-less, everything else maxed)
- Strafe first 3rd job build (30 strafe, 11 rain, 2 puppet, 1 inferno, 5 MB)

CharlieXbow- lvl 54 normal STR xbowman
- Normal 1st job build
- Normal 2nd job build (19 mastery, 14 booster, 9 SA, 1 PKB, 30 IA)

KingBruno - lvl 48 normal STR hunter
- Normal 1st job build
- Cutomized 2nd job build (19 mastery, 14 booster, 7 SA, 9 PKB, 6 bomb)

I can put these archers to AGF's disposition, so tell me which one you'll like to test, where and what data should i look for.

Hey, I can help with CwK training
I'm lvl 88 Ranger in Bera, i Mostly train on Lower Ascent or Cavern of Pain.

Hi Sapphire8,

on my funded lv45 Xbow ( 524~932 range due to 8 atk potion and 10 atk event helmet) ive been lvling here, and here comes my input

The map is perfect for lvling, as it has only 2 platforms, and an amazingly fast spawn rate. clear the bottom for 2-3 times with your mob skill (IA or AB), then climb up rope and go the the first small platform thingy on the right. stand there, and use your mob skill to mob some, then jump over them, en mob the rest of the ginseng jars. then, kill them with your mob skill. then repeat, repeat, repeat
this way, i gained about 35%/hour
i reccomend having at least some booster and lvl 10+ mob skill =p cuz you use it a lot here

Greetins,

Abris

i have a question. i heard that typhons are very good training for bowmans. is that true? can u edit your guide and add typhons to it? i'd really appreciate it. thanx

SomeRandmGuy

I checked out the 50 YO herb garden (lv49 hunter). The spawn isn't really anywhere near as good as STDs, would be ok exp for a crossbowman. Dummies are still way better . they are a bit spread out so I got overrun quite a bit, but that may be due to my impact hit not kbing 100% (bomb arrow). Also when they are neutral they tend to wander in groups of 3 or 4, if that info helps @ all

riceboy36

50-Year-Old Herb Garden

lvl 46 xbow
range w/o pots : 335-642
35%/hr

SP
18 Mastery
5 Booster
2 SA
22 IA

I usually 2HKO with the occasional 3HKO. The spawn is amazing especially on the top platform. It usually maxes out after I clear the bottom and there is lots of mobbing involved. Drops aren't bad, but rare. I've found a cromi and a black bandana in 131%. All in all, I love this place. It is very quiet and pretty good exp since I can't find anywhere that has a similar pph and the level or entertainment. My equips are considered above average, but I will not post them unless prompted since I do not want anyone to think that this place is gonna be bad for them based on equips. Oh and I use warrior elixirs for training.

All from my current 30 day inbox. There's probably twice this much again from my expired PM's.

Im sorry i diden't tell you about this spot on the archer forums like you said but w/e. Anyways, i found a great training spot for just about any lvl arrow rain. ( im lvl 73 with 1 arrow rain). In the ghost ship in room 5 i think, the one with the jr.selkies, there are some stairs there. All you have to do is just stand on the one above the middle step and spam ar/e. any lvl ar/e can hit both plats with this way. I got 21% hour doing this, and i dident waste a single hp pot. THis spot is AMAZING. Just be carefull not to pick up the drops because they have a magic attack and it can be annoying getting back up to the middle step. The spawn is also really great. please add this to your guild. BYE

This may be a bit sudden, but...

I was just exploring in Singapore recently on my Crossbowman, and I found that Suburban Area 1, with the Freezers (Fire Hydrant Guys =] ) were actually decent experience.

As a level 44 Crossbowman with not-so-good equips (10 dex sauna, 59 attack Heckler), I could kill them with 2 double shots and 1 normal hit, occasionally with just 2 double shots.

The mobs there are AMAZING. Some platforms have 4-6 freezers, but others can have TONS. Like 15, or something. I didn't actually count, but the numbers are great. If you circle the map clockwise or counter-clockwise, there's usually always a huge spawn on every platform and the bottom, and it refills itself by the time you return.

I didn't have any points into PKB, but being able to shoot the mobs with Iron Arrow were no problem. Arrow Bomb might be better there, since it will stun the mobs and they'll stop moving, as well as offering greater mobility (not a straight line).

The freezers give 80 exp each, and they have a hilarious-looking magic attack F2 in which they start puffing their fire hydrants at you. If a huge mob is doing it all at once it's kind of annoying, but you have about a half-second after they start up the animation before it actually hurts you. Oh, and they don't move while they do their magic attack, which may/may not be important.

I unfortunately don't remember the exp/hour that I got there, but I'm sure it would be something pretty decent (nothing compared to MCPQ though, but I don't think you can reasonably compare any training spots to MCPQ at that level).

It would be nice if someone could go and test it out. Or maybe I'll go back one day. I don't know.

I was testing Magatia with an early AR build(lvl 73 ranger, 4 AR, bad equips) and I found Alcadno Lad Area C-2 was decent. I trained by jump ARing all monsters in the way to the most left platform(with the portal), climb onto the 2nd platform to avoid rockets and AR everything dead. Then lure all monsters, in the same way, to the most right platform(with another portal), Climb onto the 2nd platform and AR everything dead again. And repeat. Try jump-ARing over the head of roids in front of you to take less damage.

I'm not sure if if it's as good as gryphons but it could be an okay alternative to them

Hei, I believe I was the one who suggested these training places Leafre : The Burning Forest, Leafre : The Forest That Dissapeared, Leafre : Dragon Forest III, and Leafre : The Hidden Dragon Tomb II, but I haven't given any further information about these places. So now, I would like to share my experiences training at these spots. Before that, I think I would like to take out this map Leafre : The Hidden Dragon Tomb II from the list because I barely train here anymore.

So the first one is gonna be my favorite training place until now (Lvl 134 Marksman), Leafre : The Burning Forest.

Monsters: Lvl 100 Green Cornian and Lvl 105 Dark Cornian
Spawn: Medium - High
Training Cost: Medium - High

I would recommend: marksman with at least lvl 21+ blizzard and also lvl 1 frostprey will be very helpful, HP at least 2.8k - 2.9k to withstand dark cornian's attack after it uses power up, I also recommend this place for early piercing arrow build marksman because you have to mob a lot here. Oh yeah, dragon's breath at least lvl 1 is a must and maximum power knock back also helps a lot.

Method of training:
Basically, there are 4 platforms here. Let's say the bottom platform is the 1st platform, the platform above the bottom one is the 2nd, and the above platform of the 2nd platform is the 3rd platform, and the top platform is the 4th platform.

The 4th platform is dominated by dark cornians. The 3rd platform is a mixed platform between green cornian and dark cornian. The 2nd platform is dominated by green cornians only. And the bottom platform is similar to the 3rd platform (mixed). Each platform may contain up to 7-8 cornians at a time.

Because the 2nd, 3rd, and the 4th platform are adjacent one to another, I would recommend to kill all the cornians on these three platforms first before you go down to the bottom platform. My suggestion is to kill all the cornians in one platform at a time before going to the next platform until there are like 1-2 cornians left on these 3 platform. So basically you just need to kill all cornians for example on the 4th platforms, and the go to the 3rd platform, next to the 2nd platform, if you still see a lot of cornians (after the new spawn) in the above platforms, go back to those platforms and kill all the cornians. When there are only 1-2 cornians left, you may go down to the bottom platform, finish all the cornians there, and go back again to the above platforms for new full spawns. I would also recommend to finish all the cornians at the bottom platform before you go back to the above platforms for maximum spawns on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th platforms. The purpose of this method is to save time. Because it takes some time to walk from the bottom platform to the 2nd platform, or maybe using the rope in the left side of the map to reach 3rd and 4th platform. You will use all your skills here, blizzard, frostprey, dragon's breath, power knock back, strafe, and piercing arrow, so I'd say this is a very dynamic way of training rather than just standing in one spot and spaming strafe for hours (Jr. Newtie). I believe you will use a lot of potions here, but it's not a problem at all. What I really love training on cornians is that their etc drops (Skull Shoulder Pads and Wooden Shoulder Pads) are worth a lot. I don't know about the other servers, but in my server Windia, both skull shoulder pad and wooden shoulder pad are worth 20-25k each!

In Leafre : Burning Forest, the ratio between dark cornian and green cornian is like 3:2, so you will get more skull shoulder pads than wooden shoulder pads but that's a good thing because people need skull shoulder pad more than wooden shoulder pad. I think it's because when you're hunting rexton leathers, you will automatically collect wooden shoulder pads because the rexton map also has green cornian in it. The same method is used in Leafre : The Forest That Disappeared. The ration between dark cornian and green cornian here is a bit like the opposite, I'd say 2:3. So you will get more wooden shoulder pads here. Well, in fact, my training method in Leafre : The Forest That Disappeared is a bit different. Well, I'll write it another time. Leafre : Dragon Forest III is pretty straight forward, I don't train in this place much anymore, so yeah.. I guess that's all for now :).

Edit:
Oh yeah, I forgot to say something pretty important lol. Maybe most of you have noticed a bug with dark cornians. Well, it's similar with bone fish's bug that stuns dark cornian when it uses power up for the first time when its HP is above 40-50%. But be careful when its HP is low, it won't get stunned and its attack is pretty deadly (up to 2.8k). I also forgot to say that both cornians may inflict poison status that deals 300 damage a time (pretty painful). Green cornians don't have any buff up skill, so it will attack immediately after you inflict some damage to them. Dark cornian will most likely use power up (not all the time, remember this!) once you inflict damage at the first time and with a high probability of getting stunned lol. And if you guys know, dark cornians drop chaos scroll :D although I never get one til now lol..
