Your God Posts: 153 Group: Members Member #54 Joined: June 23, 2007	Do we need to prove that activation is 55%, and that every Critical is Skill%+Critical_Shot%+Sharp_Eyes%+100? Because some people seem to believe that only 12% of the time you'd hit 340%, even though the 12% was pulled out of their asses because they can't do high school math. Well, anyways. I refuse to believe that Sharp Eyes and Critical Shot are two individual independent probabilities because that would make us suck a lot. If it were two individual probabilities: 340%: 6% Chance 240%: 9% Chance 200%: 34% Chance 100%: 51% Chance

AGF Member Posts: 91 Group: Members Member #111 Joined: January 8, 2008	You can just STARE at a punch of numbers from 4th job Bowmaster vids and see that that the damage and percent stacks. All of the crits are almost always more than triple the damage as non crits, so its easy to deduce that both crits happen at the same time. But you can prove anyway, just to throw stuff at the non believers O_o

I have time on friday, tell me what you want me to do. i will have 7 SE by then...or you could wait for me to level twice and get 10 SE. It would indeed suck, and not only that, it wouldn't really make sense growthwise imo My hypothesis is the same as yours, until proven otherwise.

Your God Posts: 153 Group: Members Member #54 Joined: June 23, 2007	I suppose the easiest proof would be to show a few consecutive screen shots of you doing a few 3xx% in Strafe. Because if it were individual probabilities, the chance of having two 300% arrows in Strafe would be... Frick, I don't want to do the math, but it should be somewhere less than 1%.

I can wait, until its vaerified. but again you would have to wait til weekends pass, and if I get time.... and i just realized I dont know how to take SS on this laptop...but I have an idea.

Same. I hung out with a Bowmaster yesterday, and his range was 1700~2700 or so, and his Min. Damage with a crit, was over 5000. Every time.

Your God Posts: 153 Group: Members Member #54 Joined: June 23, 2007	New question. Sharp Eyes + Arrow Bomb and Iron Arrow. Arrow Bomb's impact damage is 40% at level 30. With level 20 Critical shot, it does 80%. Explosion is 130%/260%. Effectively, twice the damage. With Sharp Eyes, the new impact damage is...? 112%? 120%? 220%? My current formula gives ArrowBomb% * CriticalShot%/100 (Actually, ArrowBomb% * (1 + CriticalShot%/100), where CriticalShot% = SLVL * 5 because the 200% is ignored anyways, easier math, simpler numbers, blah blah) for Critical damage since that effectively outputs the proper numbers I believe, so my calculator would output it as Normally, ArrowBomb% * (1 + (CriticalShot% + SharpEyes%)/100) 40 * (1 + (100 + 0) / 100) 40 * (1 + 1) 40 * 2 80% With Max SE ArrowBomb% * (1 + (CriticalShot% + SharpEyes%)/100) 40 * (1 + (100 + 140)/100) 40 * (1 + 2.4) 40 * (3.4) 136% Anyways. Ideas? Also, Iron Arrow's output is IronArrow% * 0.82 ^ mob# Critical is (IronArrow%+CriticalShot%) * 0.82 ^ mob# Where CriticalShot% = SLVL * 5 SE Critical would then be (IronArrow% + CriticalShot% + SE%) * 0.82 ^mob# i.e. (180 + 100 + 140) * 0.82 ^ mob# (420%) * 0.82 ^ mob# So... Yeah. Well...?
