Someone want to crack the numbers? I'm busy. Berserk is a multiplier from what I've heard. So Level 1 = 1.13 times more damage. Level 20 is 1.7 Level 30 is 2.0 Sharp Eyes for Warriors gives +140% on skills. Crusher = 310%. blah blah blah So; (Skill%+SE%)*Berserk or Skill%*Berserk + SE% or (Skill%+SE%)*Berserk + SE% or something else Because someone claims that they hit 30k Criticals with Crusher, 20 Berserk, 10 SE, max damage is 6046 on their range, and then 40k Criticals with same things and 20 SE. Discuss <_< |

Damage range -> DEF -> Attack damage % -> Critical +100% -> Multipliers like buffs and element. Btw, I've heard that SE is just a multiplier for classes that don't have a default critical, but that doesn't make too much sense. But none of the possibilities would account for a 10k difference in damage between +120% and +130% SE. |

All the data I've been fed state that it would have to be +140% for Warriors and Bandits, and not *1.4 since the damage out put wouldn't be possible that way. Of course, it could be something else, but I'm pretty sure it was found it can't be *1.4 |

That's not relevant. Amp is a multiplier. So is, say, Fire Charge for WKs, which is 120% damage on all attacks. Fire Charge makes their PS 260*120% = 312% damage. So it doesn't prove anything. |

It's not that strong though, when you think about it. Their regular PS vs our regular DS is 260% vs 340% (when you factor in damage range it pretty much evens) Their PS w/ fire and element vs our regular Strafe is 468% vs 560%. It's a similar margin. |

Yes. But what I'm saying is, PS+Fire+Element isn't any more broken compared to Strafe than PS by itself is compared to DS. (Well, it is a little. Like 10%.) If you're going to pick on anyone's formula, pick on L7. Or pick on Magic Claw, but that's only good for about 10 levels. |

Multiplier? Any % is a multiplier when it gets down to it. 130% = 1.3*100% Wk's on the other hand.... Thats a Multiplier of other %'s, which goes against (Most) MapleMath |

Actually, critical shot goes against most maple math. Think about it. IA's decrease is a multiplier. Panic and Coma, I believe are multipliers (although I've never understood how they work). Amp could go either way, but considering that mages don't have any other percentages, it's probably a multiplier. Every instance of element advantage/disadvantage is a multiplier. SP is a multiplier. Quote Reginleif, Berserk is a multiplier. Critical is outnumbered here. |

Trueness, but we still have an edge because we're ranged anyway :D Why do I need to pick on Magic claw? I think that would be mean towards mages Mages are weird because their skills ARE their weapons, and weapons to them are technically just boosts to their INT (without the extra M.DEF or MP per level D:) Magic claw is like having a 40 attack weapon that hits 100% twice, but with a weak formula (seriously, it has like two 0.8 multipliers while sins get a 5x for L7 and We hunters get a 3.4 (which is like one of the lowest out of the physical attackers) The only reason MC is good, from my experience gettin 2 mages to 30, is that M.DEF isnt high with some monsters and that MC reaches its max potential during first job, while other classes need mastery and sins need crit, all in second job, where we all pass the poor mages. Lucky seven, I DO HATE, but without it, sins are next to nuthin... just speed and jumpyness... If I had anything to do with it, I'd take that damn 5x LCK thing in the formula and make it 4x or 4.5x... Anyways, thats how I see it... |
