I went and tried out Forest of Dead Trees IV, since I heard that it had changed. Training there on my 51 Strless (but ill-equipped) crossbowman was great fun. There are three excellent mobbing points, since there are only three platforms on which the coolies spawn. The first one is the most dangerous one, since there's no sniping spot. As long as you can KB them with IA, or stun them with AB, you should be fine though. Click the spoiler tags for the image. Spoiler: click to toggle The second mobbing point is for the coolies that spawn on the long, leftmost ground platform. With IA, surprisingly, you can still hit them from the platform you just cleared. Spoiler: click to toggle Once the bottom is relatively clear, simply aggro the top platform and head to the ultimate-ultra-brand-spanking-new-super-special-awesome sniping point. Spoiler: click to toggle After you've done these three mobbing points, simply repeat. For archers, 4 is the definitive training map for coolies. |

That's the coolie map now? I haven't been there in ages. Either that, or I've just never been to IV. I could get used to that map. |

why did they have to change from the origional maps. I'm an old z3 man myself, back in my day z4 was level 75+, when you had enough 3rd job power to fend off everyone. Even after the first map change, z3 was still great exp. The old old z4 remains to be the most crowded training spot in maple history. With everyone from 55-85 wanting it. If you think H/V is crowded, you haven't seen anything. |

Still, H/Voodoos is at a time when there are more 3rd jobbers then ever. The populations of MS at old coolies was lower. Couple that with the difficulty to change channels at Hoodoos, and I'd say finding a Map at coolies WOULD be faster, since you change channels pretty fast, and there would be more KSing because of it, whereas at Hoodoos it's just as hard, but takes alot longer. |

There's more KSing at Hoodoos because people (namely Sin and Cleric fucktards) are too lazy to CC. And they're the ones with teleport and haste. |

I perfer the 3rd Forest of Dead Trees map since you can navigate that map without jumping up onto ledges which is very helpful during training. |

I Agree; I went there randomly, and it was the ledgless map I enjoyed most. Not sure if it was faster, because I realized how boring Coolies were pretty quick, and left. (Qynat's sleeping, she told me to mess with her computer. *reformat's computer*) |

By t3h way, Iron Arrow works on the bridge in #3 when you're not standing on the bridge, but no other attack does. |

IAs ability to go through walls ftw! That's nice at MT-80s and omega in general, as well as the blin map and the amoria PQ. |
