Plot: Earth has been shrouded over by darkness. Everything seems lost for the human race, yet no one knows of the impeding threat. As "The Destined Day" draws closer, several teenagers are finding they having a strange change in themselves. Their bodies are enhancing, gaining powers they never knew. What's more, they seem to have been chosen as the wielders of ancient mythical weapons that were once used at the last "Destined Day". As doom approaches, these heroes will soon learn about their strange new powers and weapons, the source of these mysterious events, and why they were chosen out of everyone else in existence. And in they end, they'll find out the Earth's most hidden secret, one that could either shatter the world, or save it.... ======================================================================== Battle Info: This next section is a basic overview of how battles will be carried out and the battle system. Stats: HP: You total health points. Each time you level up, you will gain an additional 10 HP. EP: Your total energy points, for using special moves or summons. Each time you level up, you will gain an additional 5 EP. Attack (ATK): Increases the power of your physical attacks. Defense (DEF): Increases your resistance to physical attacks. Intellect (INT): Increases the power of your spiritual attacks. Spirit (SPR): Increases your resistance to spiritual attacks. Speed (SPD): Determines your placement in battle and your evasion chance. If it is double that of an opponent's, then you may attack twice in one turn. If speed is tied with another's speed, the person of the highest level goes first. IF levels are tied, the character with the most current HP goes first. By creating a character, you will get to distribute 20 points to the following: ATK: 1 DEF: 1 INT: 1 SPR: 1 SPD: 1 You will also get to distribute 10 points to the following: HP: 30 EP: 15 So, for example, it would look like this: Zachary LVL: 1 HP: 45 EP: 15 ATK: 4 DEF: 5 INT: 3 SPR: 5 *SPD: 8 Leveling Up: Throughout the course of the RPG, you will level up based on how much experience points (EXP) you've gained. Each time you level up, you will be given one of the following: +2 to your primary stat +1 to all other stats +10 HP +5 EP +3 points distributable to any stat you want (Minus HP and EP) Primary Stat: Your primary stat will be your key strength in battling. Every time you level up, this stat will gain an extra point over the others. Keep in mind though that your primary stat is permanent. It can't be changed at any time, so choose wisely. It will be symbolized with a * next to the desired stat. (HP and EP cannot be a primary stat; See example above for reference). Passive Ability: Each character will have one sensible passive ability that will effect their performance in battle in the following three ways: 1.) Resistant to one status ailment completely. 2.) A "Last Stand" type ability that increases some stat strongly when near death (less than 1/3 of HP). 3.) An active passive ability that boosts a stat all the time, but not as powerful as a "Last Stand" passive. Moves: Over the course of the game, you will learn new skills that will help you through your journey. You are allowed up to four moves on one character (like Pokemon) each with the label of physical or spiritual. Attack of the offensive side and Defense of the defending side will be implemented with Physical attacks, whereas Spiritual attacks will implement Spirit and Intellect. Creating Moves: With each level, you will also earn +3PP, or PowerPoints. These can be used at tutors in random towns in order to buy new moves. In order to customize a move, you must send the RPG master (me) a message with the following. Move Name: EP Cost: (Half of the base damage amount + your current level) Type: (Physical or Spiritual) Base Damage: (Must be a reasonable amount for your level) Side-Effects: (Chance of paralysis, poison, etc.) Move Description: (Also keep in mind if you want a move that just buffers your character (ATK increase, healing spell, etc.), just take out the "Base Damage part of the sign-up above.) Once you message me this, I will come up with a reasonable PP price (there will sometimes be discounts on certain time periods) and you can then spend your PP points. There are a couple of things you should know in doing this though: 1.) If your attack has a side effect, your base damage will probably not be as high or it will cost you a lot more EP than expected. 2.) To estimate your EP value for normal moves, look above. If your move has a side effect, it will decrease from the Base Damage value. Increasing the EP cost is not an option. 3.) Don't overdo your attack. Keep it somewhat simple. Battling: The way this works is complicated. I'm just going to show you the attacking and defending for a physical move. Just know that for a Spiritual Move, you should just replace ATK with INT and DEF with SPR. For using a Standard Attack: (ATK) of offensive side - (DEF) of defending side For using a Special Move: (Base Damage of move + ATK) of offensive side - (DEF) of defending side Evading Attacks: ( (SPD) / (LVL)+100 ) + any evasion percentage bonuses ================================================================ Character Sign-Up: Name: Race: Weapon: (Ancient or Medieval) Power: (Super-Human Ability) LVL: 1 HP: EP: ATK: DEF: INT: SPR: SPD: ========================================= Name: Zachary Race: Human Weapon: Broadsword Power: Super Speed LVL: 1 HP: 45 EP: 15 ATK: 4 DEF: 5 INT: 3 SPR: 5 *SPD: 8 Passive Ability: Blink of an Eye - Has an extra 5% chance of evading physical attacks. Speed Assault: EP Cost: Type: Physical Base Damage: (Normal Attack Hits 3 Times) Description: With a quick burst of speed, Zachary unleashes 3 quick attacks on the enemy! Burst Aegis: EP Cost: Type: Physical Buff Description: Hyper-accelerating the circulatory processes and core of his body, Thomas bolsters his defensive strengths through forced regeneration.
