I. General Rules

1. Adjutant Moderators
[indentblock]Members which are given moderation powers by Administrative Triumvirate members in order to help them enforce the Codex.

2. Adjutant Triumvirate Veto
[indentblock]Any member of the Administrative Triumvirate may override the ruling of an Adjutant Moderator and reverse his punishment.

2. Cumulative punishments.
[indentblock]For example, if a person is to be banned for both being off-topic and insulting/flaming, the duration for both bans are added together.

3. Expiration Rule.
[indentblock]No breaking of a rule may be punished if 3 months pass without it being addressed.
[/indentblock]

4. No retroactive enforcement.
[indentblock]A member who posts something that breaks a law which was enacted after the post's date may not be punished. This applies only to Codex laws, not RP laws.

5. No Deletion.
[indentblock]Posts or threads that violate the law are not deleted. They are moved to the trash can. Admins or moderators that break this rule will receive one and only one warning. After that their

II. Posting Rules

1. Meaningless post or thread
[indentblock]
Definition: Any post or thread that purposely does not contribute anything to the forum.
Ban duration: 3 days
Course of Action:

- The thread or post is moved to the Trash Can
1. At the first breaking of the rule - a verbal warning is given
2. At the second breaking of the rule - a forum warning is given
3. At the third breaking of the rule - a ban of the specified duration in the rule is applied.
4. At the fourth and N-th breaking of the rule - a ban anywhere from 1x to 3x the duration of previous one is applied.[/indentblock]
If 14 days have passed since the last warning was received or the ban was lifted (whichever takes longer) without breaking the rule, the punishment for subsequent breaking of the rule is reset as if the user was at the second breaking of the rule.

2. Off-topic Post
[indentblock]
Definition: A post that purpousely does not address the topic of the thread in which it was placed.
Ban duration: 2 days
Course of Action:

- The Post is moved to the trash can.
1. At the first breaking of the rule - a verbal warning is given.
2. At the second breaking of the rule - a forum warning is given.
3. At the third breaking of the rule - a ban of the specified duration in the rule is applied.
4. At the fourth and N-th breaking of the rule - a ban anywhere from 1x to 3x the duration of previous one is applied.[/indentblock]
If 14 days have passed since the last warning was received or the ban was lifted (whichever takes longer) without breaking the rule, the punishment for subsequent breaking of the rule is reset as if the user was at the second breaking of the rule.
Addendum: If the topic of the thread has shifted and multiple members (more than 3) are discussing things which are off topic, the thread should be closed. This may or may not be enforced, at the discretion of the Administrator or Moderator.

3. Off-topic Thread creation

Definition: A thread that is not made in the correct section.
Ban duration: 2 days
Course of Action:

- The thread is to be moved to the appropriate section, or moved to the Trash Can if no appropriate section exists.
1. At the first breaking of the rule - a verbal warning is given.
2. At the second breaking of the rule - another verbal warning is given.
3. At the third breaking of the rule - a forum warning is given.
4. At the fourth breaking of the rule - a ban of the specified duration is applied.
5. At the fifth and n-th breaking of the rule - a ban anywhere from 1x to 3x the duration of previous one is applied[/indentblock]
If 14 days have passed since the last warning was received or the ban was lifted (whichever takes longer) without breaking the rule, the punishment for subsequent breaking of the rule is reset as if the user was at the third breaking of the rule.
Addendum: If the creation of the thread in the wrong section is a mistake (the author states he is unsure of the appropriate section to post in, or if he edits his post asking for the thread to be moved), the Administrator or Moderator may choose to simply move the thread and not apply any punishment.

4. Insulting/Flaming

Definition: A comment that is geared, intentionally or not, to offend a member without stating anything constructive. Swearing at a member constitutes a clear infraction.
Ban duration: 5 days
Course of Action:

- The post or thread is moved to the Trash Can.
1. At the first breaking of the rule - a verbal warning is given.
2. At the second breaking of the rule - a forum warning is given.
3. At the third breaking of the rule - a ban of the specified duration is applied.
4. At the fourth and N-th breaking of the rule - a ban anywhere from 1x to 5x the duration of previous one is applied.[/indentblock]

5. Advertising
[indentblock]
Definition: Advertising a site or product that has no relation to the discussion of a thread and/or has no relation to the topic of the forum. For example, advertising a blog in General Discussions or in one's signature is fine, as is advertising a gaming forum in the Video Games section. Advertising viagra is not fine and will result in a ban.
Ban duration: 1 month
Course of Action:

- The offending thread of post is moved to Trash Can
- Instant Ban of the specified duration. Any further advertising after the ban has been lifted will result in a 3 to 6 month ban.
- If the first posts of the author are adverts, (s)he is permanently banned.
- Posts or threads that blur the line may receive only a forum warning.

6. Illegal Content

Definition: Generally discussing or linking anything that is outlawed. Most notably linking pirating sites, discussing how to pirate.
Ban duration: 1 month
Course of Action:

- The offending thread of post is moved to Trash Can
- Instant Ban of the specified duration. Any further advertising after the ban has been lifted will result in a 6 month or permanent ban. There can be no mercy for this, the forum might could be removed if such content is spotted.

7. Adult Content
[indentblock]
Definition: Content that is not suitable for members under the age of 18. This includes description of sexual scenes, posting or having pornographic images in signature and avatar.
Ban duration: 1 month
Course of Action:

- The offending thread of post is moved to Trash Can
- Instant Ban of the specified duration. Any further breaking of this law after the ban has been lifted will result in a 6 month ban.

8. Signature restrictions
[indentblock]
Definition: Signatures must be no larger than 5 lines of text at normal size OR an image that does not exceed 125 pixels height and 450 pixels width and two lines of text. In the case of multiple images, the sum of their sizes must not exceed the aforementioned limit.
Ban duration: 2 days
Course of Action:

- Removal of signature
1. At the first breaking of the rule - a verbal warning is given.
2. At the second breaking of the rule - a forum warning is given.
3. At the third breaking of the rule - a ban of the specified duration is applied.
4. At the fourth and N-th breaking of the rule - a ban anywhere from 1x to 5x the duration of previous one is applied.[/indentblock]
