I don't even count Justin Bieber as music, so I hoped he didn't count. My favorite band is Rise Against, their music is powerful and so are their lyrics, they are political and environmental activist, and it gives their songs a lot of real world as well as emotional meaning. I'm not trying to defend them for being best, I'm just saying..that's why they're my favorite.

In my opinion politics and music shouldn't mix, and if they did they would probably have their own genre. like. "poli" Iunno. anyway, My favorite band is Sonata Arctica, They're a power metal group, and they mostly perform music about about nature, animals, winter, and tragedy. And all these things have some equivalence to and inspire my art, well, except for the comic. My second favorite band is Serenity, they're also not well known, probably less well known than SA because I have yet to see a physical copy of Serenity's album's here in the united states. they're also power metal and I haven't got it quite down yet on what they sing about, but so far I've been able to pull out tragedy and mystery. |

Queen hands down. The music is so varied and yet flows so smooth. They played soooo well together and Freddy's voice was that of an angel.

I'm seconding Sonata Arctica. I've been listening to them for about 6 or so years now, and I continue to be impressed with their new releases. I feel they are the best out of bands I have listened to because of their wide range of playing styles,it's ever changing. You will be hard pressed to find two albums that sound alike. That and there's the fact that a good majority of their songs have situations or feeling in them that we can usually relate too! ('Shy' used to be a big one for me) The emotional feel of some songs have power levels of over 9000. (I f***ing love Dream Thieves, coincidentally my first Sonata Arctica song) |

I gotta agree, Queen was absolutely amazing! and Freddy was on hell of a talented singer as well as a great songwriter. It's a shame to have lost him so early to AIDS. So let that be a lesson to you kiddos! Listen to Uncle Thees and "wrap it, before you tap it" |
