"New Sargassos... " - Szél paused, contemplating what to say, troubled deeply - " ... is a very delicate matter at this time, and we'd rather not discuss it, if you don't mind. As for a free trade agreement, we have just discovered nuclear waste being smuggled through our territory and my Minister of Police is currently working on utilising stricter border controls. This does go against the needs of legal trade, but I am currently unaware of a solution that would be satisfactory in both combating smugglers and leaving legal trade without unnecessary burdens. The same goes for the movement of people; as long as our neighbourhood is falling apart like this, we can't allow ourselves the luxury of loosening the transport of both people and cargo through our borders, despite my personal conviction that this would greatly benefit both our economies. Though if you had a more specific proposal, I would certainly take it into consideration." |

"Well, we are in the process of figuring out the tariff-free zone, but would be looking at it as a means of increasing trade between states. Once we have a more formal proposal, we would submit it to Neoplanta for consideration, as I do believe both our economies would benefit greatly from better trade relations. As for open borders between our states even with the distance, we were considering more of a visa-free travel as long as Northern and Neoplantan citizens held passports or national identification, but understand your state's concern with the nuclear waste issue. We are curious if your state would be in need of assistance on the issue? The Northern military would be happy to assist Neoplanta in any way to better stabilize the issue while your state works to better secure your borders." |

"I've talked with my Minister of Police, and it would seem that we need not worry about smuggling and other criminal activities being transported between our two nations, so in the end, I am now willing to sign an agreement on visa-free travel with North Chicanan. As for us joining any possible tariff-free zone, I'll have to get back to you concerning that. As for the nuclear waste issue, there is but one thing to do, apart from better securing our borders, which we on our part have mostly done, and that is to secure the source. In the end, the waste is stored in most probably the optimal place in Nova Zembla, but simply not in the right way. The area is very isolated and tectonically stable, so it will be more that fine for the location of the nuclear waste storage that should be built for housing the waste. Naturally, a facility of such size and quality will require a lot of funding, but if these burdens are shared, I believe it can be done in foreseeable time. Neoplanta, for one, if there is an agreement of the wider international community, would be willing to partake in the funding of the construction. I am curious as to how North Chicanan sees the issue." |
