Alexandria-Monaco-Ville-Nice: Pharaoh Mark Antony was recovering from a hard night of partying with his friends. Once word of the Byronmandian ceasefire hit the streets in the Empire, the party began. The Pharaoh and his friends weren't ones to be left out either. The Pharaoh gathered all his closest friends and hit downtown Alexandria for a legendary night of celebration, drinks, and women. They practically closed the entire downtown area, partying in the Empires hippest club called NV. The Pharaoh bought rounds for the entire club several times over, making the capacity crowd nickname him "dionysus" the Greek god of wine. The Pharaoh, his friends, and those lucky enough to get into NV practically drank the place dry with several deliveries needing to be made to make sure the Pharaoh and his friends always had a drink in there hand.

Normally the clubs in downtown Alexandria closed at 3 AM, however this was a special occasion. Imperial glory was everything to the citizens of the Empire and the recent success in the war against Byronmandy was something to celebrate. NV stayed open until the Pharaoh, his friends, and a herd of women headed for the doors around 6 AM. A successful night not only for the Pharaoh but the club owners who enjoyed hosting the biggest party the region had ever seen. Though no club owner was about to risk the wrath of the drunken Pharaoh by telling him they were closing. The Pharaoh finally stumbled into bed with the company of several gorgeous women around 8 AM.

Mid-afternoon rolled around and finally the Pharaoh rolled out of bed with the worst hangover of his life. Still there was work that needed tending to. With the word out of Vienna looking like the Empire would maintain just Mersin in the former Ixzara the Pharaoh decided to transfer the 37th Imperial Marines back to the Empire. They made landfall in Libya and would take part in any combat should the peace talks likely to be held in North Chicanan fail.

The 1st and 2nd would be more than enough to totally secure and rebuild Mersin the Pharaoh figured. Especially since the assassination of General Pasha and the subsequent arrest of the generals stunned officers who thought they were going to be rewarded. This literally cut the head off of Pasha's army which disintegrated into the country side, back to there homes or off to fight in other areas of the former republic. It was however a strategy that limited casualties on both sides of the conflict in Southern Anatolia. General Pasha out of the way the Imperial Marines now focused on reconstruction of Mersin. Working with local construction companies the infrastructure began being rebuilt around the city. The Imperial Marines also began construction of a base adjoined to the major port of Mersin. These projected created much needed jobs and kept the Empire in the good graces of the people. Something they were working hard to make sure were at the highest possible levels.

Once the Pharaoh was finished with his work for the day an aide told him the North Chicanan was ready to begin holding the peace talks. The Pharaoh smiled, longing to meet whomever Byronmandy was to send.

GDN News

"Good afternoon, I'm Viktor Marsh and these are today's news" the reporter introduced the show "The extraordinary meeting in Vienna came to an end, now the Vienna Group is joining the Imperial Majesties of Monaco-Ville-Nice and Grangale in St. John, NC, for the Peace talks on the Byronmandy-MVN war." He than looked to another camera and continued "Meanwhile on Northern Anatolia, a major naval strike land locked Commodore Burakgazi's forces, with very little losses to the joint command of the 2nd Grand Ducal Fleet and the First Krasnodarian Fleet led by Vice Admiral Alexi, brother in law of HRH the Grand Duke. During the attack a civilian yatch was hit by the cross fire, no survivors were found. The yatch waved former Ixzaran colors." He once again changed camera "A Spec Ops unit of the GDA assisted by Grangale's forces have arrested Kenneth Baker on his villa on North Anatolia. Kenneth Baker is believed to be connected with piracy and black market activity and be an associate of Ulrich Jürgen, who is currently missing, two members of the unit were killed in action and are being repatriated. On the west bank of the Bosphorus, a major operation called Claim of Arsalan was carried on by the First Fleet. We received reports confirming that the area is no longer under the control of Uzun. 10.000 peacekeeping troops are being deployed to assist the First Fleet personnel on the task of pushing Uzun to the south and securing the area." he made a pause and then changed to more local news...

General Metran was picked up by a fishing boat crewed by naval personnel loyal to Burakgazi. He slipped away from his HQ during the Grangale attack and escaped the area in a yaht, the yaht was alter hit by stray fire and the General and several of the survivors bailed out in scuba gear and reached the rendezvous with the fishing boat. Though he lost his HQ,, Metran's forces were still considerable, if he could get them reorganized. He would pull back to one of his last bases along the edge of his territory and attempt to reorganize his forces.

The remaining ships of the battered 7th Imperial Fleet were in formation with the 6th Fleet in the Red Sea when Admiral Revil received the news about Nationalist Zion.

"Take the fleet along the coast and lets see if we can't get a look at what's going on over there."

Some time later the fleet arrived just off the coast of the formation Nationalist Zion, and an E-2 Hawkeye with a pair of escorting Rafales took off from the GIS Nibelheim.

The picture the E-2 brought back was not pretty. Its a straight up free for all there in Tel-Aviv...

"Are we going to do anything Admiral?" The XO asked.

Admiral Revil thought for a moment, before he answered. "No, right not its way too hot to even think about walking in there. Secondly, it would be a bad political move, given that the Emperor is at a peace conference right now. We'll keep an eye on things here, I want what intel we can get forwarded to his majesty. For now, we'll focus on keeping him as up to date as we can."

(OOC: I have to go to work but I will RP a lot more later today...... Just want to get my basic point going.)

Alexandria, Monaco-Ville-Nice: Defense Minister Ptah had just received word Nationalist Zion had fallen. "Could have come at a better time." he said. "Obviously we need to act and act quickly. I've been left in charge of the Empire until the Queens return. Transfer the 37th Imperial Marines to the Sinai, Bring the 22nd to Alexandria and have them begin preparations for possible operations, also ready the 2nd Marines in Mersin. Close our borders in the Sinai, no one gets in or out."

'Stadhouder, stadhouder! The Nationalist of Zion government has fallen too!' yelled the Raadspensionaris as he came running in Villa Rosa.
'You got to be kidding me! What a load of cow poop!' the Stadhouder replied.

'That should be bullshit, sir' Ambassador Maarten den Holland said.

'Stop saying such nasty things Ambassador!' the Stadhouder said. 'Anyways, gentlemen. Once again have a little fire on our hands. Now we wait for the nation which tries to extinguish it with petrol...KABOOM!'

'What do you want us to do?' the Raadspensionaris asked.

'We stay out of this, no actions, no opinions, nothing. Just declare we hope everything will be allright and that we support the nations inhabitants.' the Stadhouder said.

'Do we support them?' the Ambassador asked.

'Certainly not!' the Stadhouder concluded.

Alexandria, Monaco-Ville-Nice: Defense Minister Ptah was in a meeting with his General Staff about the situation in Nationalist Zion. News was pouring in to the Imperial High Command and much of it was either non-confirmed or sketchy at best. All that was for certain was the government of the Republic of Nationalist Zion had collapsed and the country has descended into chaos. None in the room were expecting this and none liked any of the news coming in, well except for the Defense Minister. With every update a thousand scenarios on how best to act went through his head. This was his opportunity he thought. The Defense Ministers opportunity to reestablish himself from the Pharaoh large shadow in the High Command and in the respect of the people.

It had been little secret that the war against Byronmandy was the Pharaoh's success. Books would speak of battles the Pharaoh won and brave orders the Pharaoh's soldiers carried out. He felt a very third wheel to the Queen and Pharaoh. Indeed if Mark Antony didn't have the title Pharaoh he likely would have the title Defense Minister. However with the Queen and Pharaoh off to North Chicanan this crisis was left to him to deal with. "A chance to prove himself to the Queen, a chance to prove his genius." he thought "and a chance to levearage some control of the army away from those damned San Lumenese mercenaries." speaking on Pharaoh Mark Antony and his generals.

The Chief of the Mukhabarat (The Imperial Intelligence Agency) was speaking on the situation in Nationalist Zion, bringing up to speed the Defense Minister and his General Staff. "We've heard from our agents in Nationalist Zion that any form of there Defense Forces or police have either returned to there barracks or abandoned there posts. This is especially troubling given the nations religious and ethnic troubles between there Jewish majority and Islamic minority populations. We've actually confirmed there is levels of fighting between Jewish and Islamic militias throughout the country and in most of the major cities, and with no real order to stop it we believe fighting will spread. There is no reason to believe the situation will get independently better. That being said we have somewhere north of 500,000 citizens either vacationing, working, or traveling through Zion as we speak. I believe Commandant Amos wishes to speak on the status of our nationals."

Commandant Sergio Amos, commander of the Imperial Marines nodded and spoke " I have the 37th Imperial Marines along border with Zion in the Sinai. My men are working with the Colonel Duda's Imperial Border Police and have totally locked down our border in the Sinai. Our nationals as well as citizens of Zion have descended upon our border to try and gain entry to the Empire. Word is thousands of people are at our border trying to get into the Empire. As we speak we are only allowing our nationals entry and we are only doing this at three processing points in Rafah, Eliat, and Taba. Processing our citizens through the border has been left to the Imperial Border Police and my Marines are there to ensure security at both the checkpoints and the open border, while providing heavy support for the Border Police. I've also at the Defense Ministers direction ordered the 2nd Division Imperial Marines loaded into the 36th fleet and they're awaiting further orders off the coast of Zion.".

Once the Commandant stopped talking the men in the room nodded that all these moves seemed reasonable and sound. The Defense Minister then began to speak "We've done this without sacrificing any of our needs in the war against Byronmandy and we expect little to no disruption in our operations in Mersin. So we need not worry about losing our advantage in either of these campaigns. I can not stress enough how important the next few days are and how important and potentially dangerous this new and unforeseen crisis is. Our border and the areas that surround them must be secure and free of anarchy. If we allow anarchy in our neighboring countries, how long until we have anarchy in the Empire? We must act swiftly if we must to ensure the safety of our citizens and our border, doing so is of the highest level of national security.". All agreed with the Defense Ministers words.

Abasi the Chief of the Mukhabarat then began to speak on retrieving Imperial citizens in Zion "We need to inform our citizens how best to reach the checkpoints safely. With the Jewish and Islamic militia's fighting it out in the streets, our citizens will no doubt find it difficult to reach the checkpoints from the northern and central parts of the country. We need to consider possibly sending the 36th fleet into port somewhere into Northern or Central Zion to evacuate our citizens in that part of the country. We don't want thousands of Imperial citizens traveling through a war zone all the way to Sinai. That surely will only lead to serious trouble and potential civilian casualties. Our citizens in the North and Central region need to be given instruction on what to do and where to go for evacuation before they head hundreds of miles across a battlefield.".

Defense Minister Ptah then spoke "I agree Chief Abasi, I certainly agree. We must make sure our citizens in the North can be safely evacuated. We can't allow the kind of civilian casualties that our citizens would likely face traveling from the north of Zion to Sinai. The 36th Fleet and 2nd Marines should land in Haifa and create a safe zone for our citizens to enter. From there our citizens can be sent safely to Cyprus where they will be flown out to wherever they're from in the Empire. We will also maintain a strict naval blockade of Zion perhaps with the Grangale? No ships will be allowed in or out no exception regardless of nationality without our direct consent. We should also flood the airwaves of Zion and inform our citizens where to go for evacuation.". The men all agreed this was the best course of action for the Empire and set to there work.

The Defense Minister sat back and exhaled and then said get me the Commander of the 37th Marines! I want to know what's going on at the checkpoints.
