The party became more intense by the minute and however both Dutch men had been present for about and hour they only had 1 glass of whiskey and two beers each. Suddenly the Stadhouder said 'Ok Johan, time to leave!' He turned around and gestured to attract the attention from the MVN people 'Your Majesty, gentlemen, we are leaving you. Have a pleasant evening!'. Both men left the greenhouse, took a sharp left turn and made sure to take the shortest route out of sight. The Stadhouder said 'This is unbelievable, have you seen what they are drinking? That must be over a million dollars of whiskey alone. Not to mention the other stuff that goes in.' 'And must come out inevitably the way they are drinking it.' the Raadspensionaris added. 'That whiskey was fine though'. 'It was, and extremely expensive too. We had a glass each and a rather large one. Make sure to repay this to North-Chicanan as soon as the conference is over. If they won't accept the money donate it to some childrens hospital, that debt is not going to be on the Seven United Provinces reputation. What is wrong with plain old beer anyway?' the Stadhouder said. 'I start to believe you are right about the relationship between the Pharaoh and the Queen though.' the Raadspensionaris said. 'The Pharaoh loves comparing the length of his third leg but there is not much bad in the man. It seems he and the Queen do not share as much as a marriage, they share a nation.' 'You are a remarkable observer my friend. You know what, it is still fairly early in the evening do you think there is anyone available for a conversation instead of a testosteron competition?' the Stadhouder asked. 'Who knows. The weather is excellent, let just walk along for a while. Maybe we run in to someone like we did with the MVN delegation.' the Raadspensionaris said. And so they did... |

The Pharaoh did his best to explain through the countless shots and sips of scotch that a friend of Byronmandy was technically an enemy to the Empire. He looked in contemplation for a moment and then said "Well perhaps in a few days we won't be enemies anymore if this conference goes right. Normal relations are always good right?" the two dutch leaders agreed "Less headaches anyway? Leading a nation and its armies during a war has been quite the daunting task. I look forward to more relaxing days when I can drink at night, play gold in the afternoon, and fuck my wife and her handmaidens. Going through the motions in relative leisure.". The Pharaoh then smiled and smack both the dutch leaders on the back and said "No hard feelings between us tonight. The world of politics I find is little more then friends and enemies of convenience.". All the men in the garden seemed to agree. The Pharaoh saw to it the two Dutch leaders were given beers upon there request. They all seemed to enjoy each others company and drink after drink was poured. After awhile the the Stadhouder and the Raadspensionaris said there goodbyes to the Pharaoh and his friends. "You two are alright. Quite likable fellows, I've enjoyed your company." the other men hardily agreed as the Stadhouder and the Raadspensionaris made there way out of the garden and into the night. Once they left the Imperials went back to drinking. The Pharaoh noticed the young captain he sent to get Emperor Julii had returned with the Emperor and two guards, a large muscular serious looking man and a very sexy younger female officer. For a moment the Pharaoh wondered where the other officer had went, then he realized how much they had been drinking and figured he passed out. "Light weight" the Pharaoh said and garnered a laugh from a few of the officers. The Pharaoh then stood as the Emperor and his guard drew near and said "Emperor Julii! Glad you could join us!". The Pharaoh then saw to it that the Emperor and his guards were given large glasses filled with local scotch. The Pharaoh then spoke to the Emperor "Hell of a war we fought. Your assistance was most valuable in assuring we destroyed Byronman-----" the Pharaoh stopped speaking and his focus shifted to the scantily clad young officer from the Grangale. "Who might this be?" The Pharaoh asked and when the Emperor replied "Colonel Almathea." the Pharaoh said "A lovely name, for an even lovelier woman." while kissing her hand. The Pharaoh then proclaimed "For the men of our victorious armies we've lost! May we never forget there sacrifice!" and poured a sip of his drink onto the ground with the other following suit. The Pharaoh then started talking to get to know her a little better, no doubt enamored by her jet black hair and green eyes. Several of the Imperial officers began talking to the Emperor about possible cooperative military operations, as if they would remember in the morning..... |

"For our fallen heroes!" Emperor Julii said holding up his glass before pouring out the contents. The Emperor was lounging on a couch with the Pharaoh and Colonel Almathea. Sezja Leanne Almathea had been a complete hellion when she was younger, juvenile delinquent, nearly expelled from the University on several occasions, and one of the oldest friends Julii had. "Oh your glass is empty!" She seductivly said to the Pharoah, but before Mark Antony could demand another drink, Almathea stood and sultered over to the bar. She hopped over the bar and pushed the stunned bar tender out of the way. She mixed something together and hopped up on the bar, much to the attention of all the other drunken party goes. She walked down the bar as if she was a model walking down the runway to the cheers of the men. She noticed one who was particularly enamored with her and she paused, leaned over, making sure he got a good view of her cleavage, she drew two fingers up to her lips, lightly licked them and then kissed them then placed her fingers on the young officer's lips. She winked at him and carried on across the bar and returned to where the two monarchs were. Emperor Julii smiled at Almathea as she returned and looked over to where Kiryu was. Oh those guys... will not be happy tomorrow... He saw Shiro Kiryu sitting at a table, opposite of the table was a line of MVN officers, and on the table was two double shotglasses and bottle. Kiryu had a face like stone as another officer hit the floor. Kiryu was another person Emperor Julii knew from his University days. Kiryu was an upper class man and Julii's fraternity big brother. At the University he was known as The Obelisk, because of the man's superhuman ability to hold his booze. Always solid and upright, like an obelisk. The Pharaoh, several brass and the Emperor talked about various joint military operations, that none would remember the next morning. With the jovial atmosphere talk took a turn to the ridiculous as jokes and jabs at President Wayne dominated the conversation. The Pharaoh noticed that he was taking up Almathea to himself and waved over a female MVN officer to keep his fellow monarch and ally company. The young officer, Lieutenant Sawalha was quite a treat for the eye, a perfect athletic figure, slightly tanned skin and deep brown eyes framed in glasses, and dark brown hair. "Whoa hey look at that!" Almathea said, pointing towards the table where Kiryu was at. Around the table were several 'causalities of war' that would be hating life the next morning. At the table though, was large burly looking man staring Kiryu down. "Someone's keeping up with Shiro!" The two monarchs watched and cheered on their respective subordinates as if they were at a gladiatorial event. One bottle was finished, and another, and another, and the two titans stood. But eventually, both started to waiver, and after another bottle was finished, both men stared at each other... and slumped forward. Everyone was quiet for a moment and the two raised their heads and looked at each other, smiled, and clasped hands to cheers from the others. It wasn't often that his aides were able to completely relax and the Emperor wanted them to make the most of this time. |

The Pharaoh nearly fell over when Colonel Almathea returned with his drink " And you know your way around the bar to? Could a man ask for more Emperor" the Pharaoh said laughing. The Pharaoh then called over Lieutenant Sawalha to better entertain the Emperor while he talked to the Colonel. Lieutenant Sawalha had grown up in a low class family in the south of the Empire. She knew how to use her stunning looks to get ahead and used them to be able to gain entry into university. It was there he intellect could finally shine after taking a back seat to her looks for years. After University it was off to the Imperial Army to help pay for her student loans. There she became a go between for the Pharaoh and the Defense Minister no doubt at the Pharaohs doing. She's proven herself though to the Pharaoh to be a loyal employee and faithful friend and lover. The Pharaoh introduced Lieutenant Sawalha to the Emperor "Emperor Julii this is Lieutenant Sawalha." Lieutenant Sawalha quite intoxicated wasn't sure quite how to great the Emperor so she saluted him. The Pharaoh and Emperor laughed and the Pharaoh spoke "At ease Lieutenant, why don't you grab us some more whiskey." Lieutenant Sawalha gave Colonel Almathea a look like she was up for a challenge and walked seductively over to the bar and grabbed a bottle of whiskey. She brought it back to the table and unbuttoned her shirt and arched her back pouring the whiskey on her stomach. She then laid back and the Pharaoh clapped and asked the Emperor "Body shots?". Once the two men had finished there body shots they noticed there to brutes going at it full force. The Pharaoh and Emperor cheering there men. When it was clear it was a draw all the people in the garden clapped and the Pharaoh said "True equals! Just as you and I! Long live the Empires!" the men all cheered and then it was back to the mockery of Byronmandy and the usual talk between drunk soldiers. |

The arrival of the Grand Duchess had been the highest point of the last day, But now as the sun was rising over the lake, the Grand Duke got out of the cabin for a morning walk. With him were Ambassador Temkoy and a couple of the staff selected to the conference. After a couple of miles of small talk about the general affairs of the embassy and mr Temkoy's family, and of seeing a wasted Pharoh walking back to the cabins area, the Grand Duke asked: "So what can we expect from this first day?" "Well Sir, I believe the northerns would rather prefer to begin the talks by getting some solution to the situation on the former ixzaran territory, as we know, the balkans are far more stable, and I believe it might not even come up to the talks. Now, the Byronmanders may try to bring the peace talks at first, since it is the main reason we're here." "I assume that they will do whatever they can to get a somewhat honorable peace. Unfortunately, having share the trip here with the Imperial Queen, MVN may attempt to get Byronmanders the worst deal possible, or at least the worst deal to President Wayne. Though I'm not sure if we're going to be seeing the Pharaoh on the firsts hours of the meeting." this last part got a chuckle from everyone, recalling the state in which they saw the Pharaoh and his crew moments back. "So it seems Your Highness. I believe than it would be a better strategy to support the Northern agenda." "Exactly what I was thinking Ivan, exactly what I was thinking." at this point they were already back to the cabin, the Grand Duke, serious than spoke again "Mr. Temkoy, I have another request for you. You shall escort the Grand Duchess to downtown today, she wanted to see the city and get to know the embassy. I am absolutely sure, that with your experience, you'll know the must see of this lovely nation." "I am honored Your Majesty." replied the ambassador with a bow before leaving to prepare the Grand Duchess visit. A few moments later, the official ambassadorial car was leaving the complex taking the Grand Duchess to a pleasant day. They had agreed that it would be for the best that she should take the day to rest and visit the city, for that she had been really worried for her younger brother safety since he assumed the Krasnodarian Fleet. It would be a good leisure time for her. As the car got away, the Grand Ducal delegation crossed the field over to the Cantonal Hall. "This will be a long day" was the last thought of the Grand Duke before crossing the Cantonal Hall doors. |

Emperor Julii woke up with a groan, he felt as if there was a midget in his head with a sledgehammer. He got up and staggered towards where his coat hang and rummaged though the pockets looking for his small cigar case and lighter. While he found the cigar case he also a small note scrawled on piece of paper tucked into one of the pockets. "Till next time... - Sawalha" At the bottom of the note was a lipstick in the shape of lips. Nah we didn't... unless we did... he thought. He didn't remember much of last night. "Ugh, Geoffrey!" A moment later the butler appeared, "You growled your majesty?" "Yeah... get me four bottles of Gatorade and four bottles of 5hr Energy." He learned from his University days of following The Obelisk around that a sports and energy drink tag-team was effective against hangovers. "Hey... you guys still alive?" He shouted. "Still breathing..." Kiryu replied. To Julii's amazement the man was already up and about. The Emperor plopped down on a chair next to the large sliding door to the balcony and lit a cigar. "Hey Shiro, what happened last night?" "Er... well... call it an informal diplomatic meeting and exchange..." The other replied, the Emperor noticing that he put an emphasis on "exchange" and several pieces of the puzzle of Sawalha's note began falling into place. "Where's Sezja?" The Emperor asked. And as if on cue Colonel Sezja Leanne Almathea stumbled though the front door, hair was a mess and her uniform was crumpled up. "Whoa... look who did the walk of shame!" Kiryu quipped. "You shut-up!" She snarled, trying to put as much energy she had into it. "Ahhh where's Geoffrey, I need Gatorade and 5hr energy!" The Emperor looked her over and shrugged, "yeah you don't need to tell me, anyway I already sent Geoffrey out to get them. Alright people, let's pull ourselves together, we got a meeting to go to and I need you guys on the clock for it. When Geoffrey gets back I'll have him get some breakfast for us. We got work today." A few hours later, the three were ready for the conference. The Emperor wore a white three piece suit. The suit was custom made with a double breasted jacket, and a long vest underneath. The man was crisp and on his feet after downing two bottles of the sports drink to rehydrate and the energy drink to kick start his body. His aides too were ready to provide what ever assistance he might need. Edited by Grangale Empire, Aug 12 2011, 05:40 PM.

King Jason awoke in the morning very well rested. He didn't attend the party as he felt it was very unbecoming of a monarch to drink large amounts of liquor. Instead he spent the day touring St. Johns and got to meet the mayor and city council as well as visiting the San Lumense embassy. He King Jason was particuallarly impressed by it and was pleased to hear the staff's praises regarding Ambassador Waldner. The King had dinner with the city council and mayor and discussed policies of local governments. Right after the King got dressed there was a knock on the door. "Good Morning Your Royal and Imperial Majesty. Did you sleep well?'' Oliver asked. "Yes sir I did. I am very impressed by your capital city and the accomodations you have provided.'' The King praised. "Thank you Your Majesty. I am pleased to hear that. Breakfast is ready in the main hall. The other monarchs will all be there.'' Oliver announced. "I shall accompany you down there then.'' King Jason said as he walked with Oliver down to the lobby. |

****Day 1 of the Conference**** Helene and Jason arrived from the Government Tower hoping for some success. The press, now with the Hoops knocked out of the World Cup due to a 1-0 loss to Pasarga to finish third, would shift their attention home to the conference and how well the states of the Baradoz played with each other. Their morning...was productive. "Absolutely not." "And why is that?" "Mr. President we already agreed on the agenda." "Well, Ms. First Minister, I was asking as a favor to President Wayne." "And you are aware the Imperials would loooooooooooooove to discuss the terms for peace in the middle of the conference right?" "You can't be that serious." "Why not? They won the war and the media's coverage of it. They pretty much get to dictate what they want done to maintain something resembling peace with Byronmandy and the last thing we need is the conference ending before it starts due to that nonsense." "Helene, it's not nonsense, it's good politics." "Sure." Helene was annoyed that the President would even suggest a change at this point in time, "but you are aware the original aim of the conference is to deal with the Ixzaran problem. Now look, the Vienna Alliance apparently has a plan for proposal and while I have no idea what it is if we can get Byronmandy, the Provinces and Darjistan to sign off on it it puts Byronmander in a better position to get the Imperials off their back.' "And how so?" "The whole conflict was over putting troops on the ground. Like I know what Monaco wants to do but if both sides don't have troops in Ixzaran neither side can use the war as terms for deciding a peace in the region. Besides..." "...yes, Helene?" "We both know they'll be off fighting again soon enough." "Ah, not so much hope in the plan." "In them being nice? Of course not. Hence starting with dealing with the immediate restabilization of Ixzara AND making sure state boundaries and soverignty don't shift more than they have. Then we get them to commit money to the cause, we report on how well Bulgaria, Yugoslavia and the Sarajev region are doing...and that the President of the Sarajev may have decided on the future of Northern Yugoslavia, then let Byronmandy and Monaco go at it." "So even if they walk it's still a success?" "Now you're following." "Fine. How about I get...hm...Adair and Beaudelairen on the sidelines, let them come to some terms that may be acceptable to both, then bring the President and the Pharaoh into the matter." "You forget the Queen will pull rank if she's not satisfied." "Of course, hence using Beaudelairen rather than a Pharaoh proxy." "Much better Jason. You're getting used to the whole political moves thing. "What about San Lumen and Celatoria?" "'ll propose a small meeting during lunch to discuss military and economic relations, hopefully leading to some proper agreement set later on. In truth, I'd rather align with those two kingdoms rather than Byronmandy or Monaco at the moment - we seem to have similar thoughts and are fine replacements for the work we sought with Neoplanta. If Byronmandy behaves itself maybe we'll discuss the Lisbon Treaty but I'm against the whole "attack one = attack all" issue. You know we like neutrality." "I'd say bring it up with Wayne and see what he says." "He'll say no and be pissant we didn't go to war with the Imperials. With our small navy. I swear these leaders..." And with that the leaders of North Chicanan made it to the limo to take them back to the Old Estate. The Cantonal Hall was set with all the state flags adorning the rotunda and the leaders slowly trickled into the hall. They put their best faces forward for the cameras outside the hall entrance but once inside the night before was sometimes a bit more visible on their faces. It amused Helene more than Jason, although both had a slight chuckle after they took their seats. The hall was arranged in a circle with each delegation surrounding an open space. Microphones, water, juice and coffee were provided to each delegation as well as a second table for staff and others to work from. Translators were also provided to assist should the need arise. The Northern government was seated on the left of Monaco-Ville-Nice and to the right of the Grangale Empire towards the entrance. San Lumen was seated next to Monaco, with Darjistan next to them. The United Provinces were next to Darjistan, while Celatoria sat next to the New Dutch and Byronmandy sat next to Celatoria. Veomo was seated between Byronmandy and the Grangales. (ooc: I think that's everyone). (ooc 2: I'll let everyone rp their wakeups and entry before starting the conference in the morning.) |

King Jason got up in the morning and after he got dressed was treated to a lovely breakfast. He invited Oliver to join him. He had gotten a call from Regent Crown Prince Scott that everything was going well which King Jason was pleased to hear. "Your Majesty the First Minister and the President wish to have lunch with you and King Edward to discuss military and economic relations.'' Oliver announced. "Tell them I would be honored.'' King Jason said drinking some orange juice. "I most certainly will. Don't tell her I said this but I get the feeling the First Minister thinks your very hot '' Oliver said with a slight chuckle. "Your also in great shape. I can tell you work out.'' "Many women in the Kingdom think that as well. I do work out alot". Breakfast went on for a little while longer and the King then headed down to the reception hall where the conference would take place. A announcer was standing by the door. "Presenting his Royal and and Imperial Majesty King Jason Von Habsburg of San Lumen.'' Said the announcer as the King entered the room. |

Along the way to the conference the limo carrying the Emperor and his aides stopped by the air port to pick up Major Sari who had stayed on Grangale One with the rest of the Imperial Guards who used the plane as base. Upon arriving, the Emperor did a quick scan of those present. as he did upon arrival he wore his game face, ready for this game of diplomatic poker. He took his seat between the Veomo and Northern delegations, nodded to the two parties. To his left sat Major Sari and behind him and to the left stood Colonel Almathea. As before, Colonel Kiryu remained outside on standby, in radio contact with Almathea and the rest of the Emperor's security detachment. He was somewhat surprised that the arraignment placed Byronmandy in such close proximity to a nation they were at war with, but he had no intention of losing his composure and would only show his poker face to President Wayne, if the man wished to lose his temper in front of everyone, he was more than welcome to, but the Emperor was determined not to be the provocateur, he would not even indulge himself in a smirk. He was not Councilor Arlington, and this war was not a personal matter. He didn't care much for neo-conservatives and like Arlington saw them as fanatical ultra- nationalists who shouldn't be allowed to become too powerful, however unlike Arlington he wasn't on a crusade to destroy them. As far as the Emperor was concerned any possible threat Byronmandy could pose in the near future was eliminated, and the reasons for the Grangale Empire in joining the war were fulfilled. He was willing to listen to what ever peace proposal the President might offer, though whether he would agree to it was whole other matter entirely and he had his own proposals to put forth. |
