(OOC: I'll do the Emperor's night out here, this happens after the events at the golf course) Along the way to the theater, there was some chit chat with the cab driver. "You know... you look kind of familiar..." The cab driver commented. "Yeah I get that a lot, awhile back I played some bit parts in a few movies and TV shows." The Emperor casually replied without missing a beat. "Yeah, that might be it then." Awhile into their drive, they ran into traffic. The cabbie swore as he hit the breaks. "What's going on here? Almathea asked. "Ah, the Queen of Monaco-Ville-Nice and her whole entourage is backing up the whole road... sit tight I know a fews cuts around here... These damned reporters, I swear, its like they treat her like she owns the place..." The cabbie sighed. "You know I hope the Emperor of Grangale isn't anything like this! Seriously though, the press in this country, all they ever do is fawn over celebrities and royals." The cabbie said, shaking his head in mild frustration. The Emperor allowed himself an inward laugh and shared a knowing glance with Almathea. "Alright here we are, enjoy the show!" The driver said as he pulled up to the theater. For as long as he could remember, the Emperor was a fan of the theater. Almathea had gotten a hold of a night light catalog and one theater was showing a comedy titled The HMS Pinafore. It cost a little extra to pay at the door, but the price wasn't an issue. The three entered and were able to watch the show without hassle. The performance and the play itself was excellent, and the Emperor was laughing nearly the entire time. After the show the three were outside the theater waiting for a cab. The three had gotten pretty hungry and the Emperor figured he'd ask the cab driver what he would recommend, when a flash bulb went off near by. The Emperor barely had a chance to turn and look and Kiryu was already in pursuit. A moment later he dragged a man with a camera back. "Hey you can't do this to me! I'm with the press!" He shouted as he struggled against Kiryu's iron grip. Almathea motioned towards an alley way and the three slipped into the alley with the struggling photographer. "So, you know who we are?" The Emperor asked. "Yeah of course I do, you know how much this guy stands out! I recognized his face and his expression from when you guys arrived for the conference." The photographer said. Emperor Julii looked over Shiro Kiryu, "yeah the man kind of does stand out in a way. So you some kind of paparazzi?" "Aw give me a little more credit... I'm with one of the local papers, not some grocery tabloid!" Before the Emperor spoke again he felt his stomach growl. "Hey, you want an exclusive interview?" "You'd give me one?" The reporter asked. "Sure, just one condition, I want you to take me to one of the best and nicest restaurants in town, and I'm in the mood for a really good prime rib." The Emperor said. "Man! I can't afford that kind of food!" "Eh, it's on us, now lets go, I'm getting really hungry..." The Emperor said as he turned and walked towards the end of the alley. "And lets keep things... quiet." Almathea added, in a seductive, yet threatening tone. |

Helene was pleased King Jason broached the subject of Trieste first. "North Chicanan is very interested in working a lease with the Kingdom to base the Third Fleet in the region. We agree it's an important conduit for the Yugoslav state." She paused. "Actually, it will help the Sarajev region as well. We have reports that the Presidency in Sarajevo has decided to push for independence for the northern region of Yugoslavia, but will put the possible independence to a vote amongst the people. I have word from Belgrade that the triparte Presidency for Serbia, Montenegro and Herzegovina will allow the Sarajev vote to occur by the end of the year. I'm very pleased that the region has become stable since the fall of the Neoplantan government and hope that the vote maintains the peace in the region. As for further ties, we are pleased that you are interested in pursuing this route. After this conference, I would suggest our state leaders meet once again to work out possible agreements towards better relations between us. |

"I am sure Trieste would be honored to host the Third Fleet. I expect Prime Minister Landingham will support the proposal as well. I expect it to pass the Assembly and Senate however I will to what i can to ensure its passage." King Jason said as the First Minister had some more eggs and bacon. "You are also correct First Minister in stating how big a help it will be to the area of the former Republic. Regarding your information from Belgrade I am most pleased to hear that. Should the people of Northern Yugoslavia choose independence we will recognize them as a independent nation.'' Said King Jason as President Fillweed and the First Minister gave statements of approval in response. "I am glad to pursue further relations with your country. Regarding a second meeting, I would like to invite both you First Minister and President Fillweed to Florence for a state visit so we can work out the agreements.'' King Jason feeling a little ackward about inviting both of them, however he was unsure about exactly how the government worked so he felt it best to invite them both. |

Queen Cleopatra and Grand Duchess Tasha got back into the motorcade and headed to a East End shelter for women. Once they arrived they met with the director and heard stories from the women staying at the shelter. The Queen brought all the women gifts when she had heard they had a shortage of shampoo, conditioner, brushes, and other basic items that women can't live without. The women were ecstatic to get the gifts and thanked the Queen who was all but happy to give them. She then spoke to the women urging them to "Never give up hope." and to "Keep working and persevering.". She implored them to "Make there own future" and not to wait for a man to make there future for them. She then also committed the Imperial Trust to funding the shelter for 10 years. All in attendance applauded and cheered the Queen for her generous support. It was then time for pictures with the women and staff for the shelters newsletter and for the press. The Queen and Grand Duchess then said there goodbyes and left back to there motorcade. It was then time to head to High Street where the Queen and Grand Duchess set the press into a frenzy. They wildly snapped pictures as the Queen and Grand Duchess entered every designers store from the Queens favorite Dolce and Gabanna to Versace. The Queen left Dolce and Gabanna with several bags nearly as big as the servants carrying them to her limo. She then went to Harrads and bought several sets of very high end luggage for the return trip home and bought a large amount of furniture so she could leave her own personal touch on Villa Narobi. The pair then went to Northern Heights where then went to the Northern Diamond CO. where the Queen bought several pieces of jewelery and then bought the Grand Duchess a large diamond necklace for a belated wedding gift. After a few hours of shopping the pair were quite tired and decided to head back to the Villa Narobi. They headed back to the motorcade and traveled back home quite satisfied with the days work but also very tired. |

Helene sent a message to the Imperial court saying that she would be free to meet with their delegation at their ready. She figured the meeting was with Nelson, but knowing the Queen would be back shortly she figured it could be a bit higher up the ladder. Jason responded to the San Lumen King's proposal after a brief chat with Helene, while Helene went to take a call from outside the conference room. "Your Majesty, it would be my honor to visit Florence to discuss the matter further. The First Minister will work with her Cabinet and the Assembly on further developments between our states, as well as proper authorization to allow the Third Fleet to work in Trieste." Helene then came in looking a bit more worse for wear. "Your Majesties, Mister President. I have gotten word from Jerusalem. Apparently the government of Nationalist Zion has fallen as well." |

"...well in the Grangale Empire, the throne is not hereditary, the monarch appoints their own successor..." Emperor Julii explained to the reporter who would only give "Koslov" as his name in between bites of prime rib and gulps of abby ale, when Colonel Almathea leaned over and whispered something in his ear. "Report from Directia, the Nationalist Zion government has collapsed as well." ...you have GOT to be s@*$ing me... He thought. "Kiryu!" The Emperor said gesturing for the aide to lean in. He looked over at Koslov and knew there was no way to keep the reporter from listening in, eh he's bound to find out eventually... "You too!" He said pointing to Koslov. Once all three were near he spoke. "OK Kiryu, I want you to send an urgent dispatch to whom ever is in charge of the conference, I think its an official named Helena, tell her we need to put this on the adgenda too. Koslov, we just received word that the Nationalist Zion government has fallen too..." ------ TO: North Chicanan government FROM: His Imperial Majesty Emperor Julii zi Grangalia XIII SUBJECT: Fall of Nationalist Zion We have received word that the Nationalist Zion government has fallen as well. Helene left Jason with the two Kings to meet with her staff. The three leaders were discussing the collapse of Nationalist Zion and she was technically leading the whole conference. While still planning on an Imperial meeting, the collapse of Nationalist Zion needed to be addressed. And quickly. If the collapse of Ixzara was bloody, the possibilities in Jerusalem would be endless. "Robbie," Helene shouted over the crowds as a messenger delivered a note from the Grangales informing her of what she knew in advance. Her Chief of Staff/secretary/Overall Lackey arrived, wondering what was going on. "Robbie, I need you to get me anyone from the Darjistani delegation. They're closest besides the Imperials to the whole Zion region." "Wait m'am, I'm confused?" "Robbie dear, the government there just fell.' Robbie looked a bit shocked. "Robbie, jaw back up, get me the Darji leadership. We need to see what they want to do." She looked over the agenda - the proposal from the Vienna Group was still on the table and needed to be decided on. But the whole donors conference plan would be shunted for now. As for Byronmander-Imperial peace... Well... "Damn it," as she tried to wedge Zion issues into the opening day while moving peace talks to day 2 and economic aid to whatever the Anatolian would look like in a year to day 3. Like hell would she let either side play in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv or Beiruit without them keeping their toys away. She also sent a memo to Defense Minister Lovell that peacekeeping forces that were in Bulgaria helping San Lumen needed to make ready to be sent to the Palestinian region at a moments notice, and the Second Fleet should be prepared as well. |

Foreign Minister Nelson Beaudelairen just received word that the First Minister was ready to receive him when the Queen and her entourage entered the Villa Narobi. "Ahh just in time. The First Minister just told me she was ready to begin our meeting." he said. The Queen smile and said "Excellent, I shall join you in meeting her.". The Foreign Minister nodded and then said "There is one more thing before we go." the Queen turned and said "Yes?". The Foreign Minister slowly began to speak surely in thought as he spoke each word "Defense Minister Ptah phoned and it seems Nationalist Zion has fallen." the Queen looked a bit shocked and said "Truly?" the Foreign Minister nodded and spoke "Yes, seems contact has been lost with Jerusalem. We of course have a tremendous amount of Imperial citizens throughout the country that need to be evacuated. Not to mention our borders must be secured, there is word of Jewish and Palestinian militias hacking it out in the streets." the Queen nodded and said "Agreed, give Defense Minister Ptah authority to carry out whatever he feels best to secure both our borders and our citizens in Nationalist Zion. Order must be maintained in Nationalist Zion! Anarchy and Revolution on our borders will not be tolerated!.". The Foreign Minister agreed and had a secretary wire the Queens words to the Defense Minister. Once the wire was sent the Foreign Minister said to the Queen "Well shall we meet the First Minister?". The Queen nodded and said "Yes, I'm almost ready. Let me just finish having the servants put the days shopping take where I want it put." the Foreign Minister groaned impatiently before saying "Very well. We'll leave when you're ready.". Within a few minutes the Queen was finished and they were off to meet the First Minister. |

Helene returned to meet with Jason and the two Kings. "I do appologize, but I have a meeting with Monaco-Ville-Nice to attend. I trust you all will be able to carry on without me?" After Jason acknowledged they'd be fine, she went to Conference Room A. The room was cloaked in rich mahogany woods to give it more of a professional touch. The old offices of the Premier of Chicanada, the room now had the modern touches to make it a proper conference hall on its own. Instead, the First Minister had the room partitioned to allow for meetings during the conference, and the room was set with plush chairs to make herself and the Imperials more comfortable. She wasn't sure what they wanted to speak to her about in advance - but with Nationalist Zion falling she expected the meeting to be twofold. She figured they would present their plan for peace with Byronmandy as well as encourage support of the Vienna plan on the Anatolia region. Thankfully, she had a thought or three on what to discuss. She rose to meet the Imperial contingent and was a bit taken aback to see Queen Cleopatra accompany Beaudelairen. "Your Majesty and Minister Beaudelairen, it is a pleasure to meet both of you officially," Helene said while shaking hands with both. After nodding for security to close the door she showed both to their seats in the room - all three facing each other with a table of coffee, water and tea sandwiches set upon it. "I'm very interested in hearing what you wish to discuss, and hope we can work together on the issues facing the Baradoz during this difficult time in the region." |

Minister Beaudelairen and Queen Cleopatra both warmly greeted the First Minister. After sitting down and opening formalities Queen Cleopatra then said " First Minister we requested this meeting with your government to ask for your assistance in drafting a proposed peace deal with Byronmnady. The Empire desires peace in the region, though we know we're to united in our dislike of Byronmandy to draft an acceptable peace for both sides. We've won the war, the world knows that as well as us. We can press our advantage against Byronmandy and push them out of North Africa, perhaps even beyond. Though we would inherit a wasteland and broken down battlefield that we would never assimilate without much violence and would spend trillions trying to rebuild.". The Queen poured water and took a sip before speaking again "So here we are. We've beaten Byronmandy back to there borders and destroyed half of there military. They still press for this "honorable" peace, yet their will be none for them. I desire peace but it will not be on Byronmandys terms. I have however called for this meeting with you to help us make our terms more acceptable for all parties involved. I fear if we don't reach some sort of peace I'll end up with a chunk of territory I don't want.". The Queen then returned to her water and turned to Foreign Minister Beaudelairen indicating it was his turn to speak "Before we get involved their are a few items that the Empire feels must be on any sort of peace deal between the Empire and Byronmandy. First the Empire contends that this war was over reckless troop movements and in order to avoid a situation like this happening again. In order to prevent this from happening again we believe it necessary that a restriction on Byronmandy's troop movements need to be but in place. We feel a reasonable solution is to limit Byronmandy to deploying no more than twenty thousand soldiers east of Malta. This would keep Byronmandy in there traditional Western Sphere of Influence and avoid any potential flair ups over troop movements.". The Foreign Minister then cleared his throat and continued "The Empire also is very concerned about the very harsh anti-monarchist sentiment emanating from the government of Byronmandy. While we have no issue with the people of Byronmandy feeling any such way, we are deeply disturbed by the government being so deeply anti-monarchist. Slogans like "Death to tyrants" are far to common place and frankly disturbing. We would like to see Byronmandy ban the use of this slogan in any official government press releases. It's inflammatory and far to derogatory for use in any official government statements.". The Queen then began to speak "Yes, if they threaten us with death regularly then why should we not treat there movements off our shores as anything but hostile?". The Foreign Minister nodded in agreement. They had a few more items they wished to address but felt it best to get the First Ministers ideas on these before moving ahead. |
