King Edward turned to King Jason "Well King Jason, my friend, it seems our region's troubles may not yet be resolved, despite what we had hoped." |

Fyodor Veld called off the interview and regretfully ended a very delicious dinner and once again had to assume the mantel of Emperor Julii zi Grangalia XIII. He sent Koslov off with a promise to continue their interview before they left the country. Given the news regarding Nationalist Zion, the Emperor decided to return to Grangale One where he was sure there was a secure communications link to Directia to discuss the Empire's next course of action regarding Nationalist Zion. An hour later they boarded the Airbus that served as both the Emperor's personal transport and as a mobile command center for the Emperor's Imperial Guard detachment. On a large panoramic screen, the Emperor could see all 12 members of the Imperial Council. "Your Majesty, what should our couse of action be regarding Nationalist Zion?" Clifford asked. "For now, I want our actions to be limited to observational and extracting MVN citizens if they so request. This time around we are not landing troops to the region. This situation is much worse than Izxaran and we don't have on the ground support like we did with Colonel Kemal." Emperor Julii explained. "I completely agree your Majesty." Ashley commented. "And what of Byronmandy, surely they might try to intervene?" Arlington asked, a distinctly sour tone in his voice. From what he heard from Ashley, Arlington was most unhappy about a peace confrence and was in fact about ready to push for the deployment of the 2nd Fleet and the 5th Fleet once construction of the first Kirov-class battlecruiser was completed. "We've more than made it known that the Mediterranean is Vienna Alliance territory and our allies have so thoroughly smashed their armies that I doubt we'll have to worry about them awhile... and on that note, you can tone down your rhetoric awhile, Councilor." Emperor Julii responded with a glare accompanying the last part. "So what about this peace confrence then?" Raines asked. "For now, our goals are to get some official end to this war, even if just an armistice. We need to focus on hunting down the last of the warlords. From what Sari has told me, Metran has been chased into central Anatolia. Second, to push for the approval of the Vienna Plan for Ixzaran, and finnally get some kind of international consensus on what to do with NZ. With our troops still tied up in Ixzaran I don't want to get militarily involved in yet another region if we don't need to. We did not assume the mantel of Baradoz Police when we moved away from our old isolationist policies." ------ TO: Mediterranean Task Force of the Imperial Navy of the Grangale Empire FROM: Imperial Council of the Grangale Empire -Classified- -ORDERS- All forces are ordered to remain on standby. Operations regarding Nationalist Zion are restricted to information gathering only. The fleet may mobilize only upon request from Monaco-Ville-Nice to assist in the evacuation of their citizens. Any other actions are forbidden without permission from Directia. Violation of this order will result in severe reprimand. That is all. -Classified- |

King Jason responded to King Edward at once. "I had hoped our troubles would be over as well. Now another nation has fallen this time in one of the most contested areas of the world. I hope there isn't fighting like we saw in the former Republic of Ixzaran. What would be your suggestion as to a course of action?'' King Jason asked King Edward as well as President Fillweed. |

(ooc: I was waiting on Byronmandy to say something in the thread, I say officially tomorrow (Saturday in the US) I'll reconvene the conference back to Day 1 debates) In Conference Room B: Helene weighed her options presented by the Imperials. She figured they would press their advantage over Byronmandy and as expected the Queen was delighted to stab the wound as hard as she could. However, their willingness to temper their deal for peace was a bit of a shock, and while keeping troops no further than Malta could be a weird solution, at least they were trying to show they were considering all options. "Your Majesty, I am honored that you would ask us to work on a peace deal between your states. I would need to consult with the president over the terms you have asked to set forth, as well as see what the Byronmanders expect in a peace deal, but I feel we can all work to a fair agreement that addresses your concerns while also recognizing your success in the conflict." Ok, so Helene hated saying that the way she did. Political niceties were not her thing but she had to frame the idea somehow that at least suggested that any peace deal could not be fully Imperial in nature. "I will work on connections in the government to have some proposal ready by the end of the day, once the conference is back in session. I expect that most will support the Vienna Group's plan for dealing with the Anatolia quickly, as we are now faced with another emerging situation in the former Nationalist Zion. I know the Imperials have had dealings in the Palestine region before and have many nationals, so I trust your state may be engaged in affairs there. As we have offered our assistance to Monaco-Ville-Nice in the past on Ixzara, I once again offer the Second Fleet to assist in humanitarian aid to be moved from the Montenegrin coast to either Beirut or Haifa for assistance. We also have 1000 peacekeepers stationed in Bulgaria that we can move to the region quickly to help with stabilization." -------------------------------- Back in Room...C? "Actually, i trust Ms. Aremstrang is discussing the matter with the Imperials at the moment, as they have many nationals in the region," Jason said as all three leaders stood and left the chambers towards the Assembly Hall, where a mess of people were watching the situation and taking furious calls. "As always, North Chicanan calls for calm and responsible action during these times, and I trust that as we finalize the Ixzaran issue we can work as a region to deal with Nationalist Zion." Jason saw Helene had adjusted the plans to deal with Byronmandy and Monaco-Ville-Nice to the next day. "I do wonder, however, how best to keep the two from going to blows in the near future. It seems both have enough hatred of the other to demand all sorts of conditions as stipulations to peace. I personally don't desire them to seek a division of the region as a means of consolidating their own power. Rather, I want them to work together for the betterment of the region." Jason then asked each King what he expected out of a peace treaty between the two, and if they thought a treaty was even possible. |

The Stadhouder, the Raadspensionaris and the Ambassador were waiting in Villa Rosa to go back to the conference. 'I can not wait to go again, I hate this waiting. Just when things started to get exciting.' Stadhouder de I van Voorne-Putten said. 'Yay, party. You really do love it when people are fighting don't you...' the Ambassador reacted. 'That is politics isn't it? I can't help it that they take things personal, that is their fault.' the Stadhouder said. 'Ok, I can't wait any longer. Let us just go again and if necessary wait in front of the door of the Cantonal Hall. Oh, and Johan... when you see someone from Celatoria ask them when they want to meet us.' the Stadhouder said. 'Very well, I will do that.' the Raadspensionaris said. The three men grabbed their coats and left the building for yet another walk to the Cantonal Hall. |

The Grand Dukes were waiting at their cabin for the restart of the conference, when a dreadful notice came in by Ambassador Temkoy. "Your Highness, I am deeply sorry, but it just came in that your father had been admitted at the ICU of the Abkhazia Royal Hospital last night and his situation has not improved so far. The doctors believe it would be a good idea for you to return home." the Grand Duchess Natalya just looked to the Grand Duke, whom nodded. "Go, I'll have your things sent to you." they kissed and the Grand Duchess left with ambassador Temkoy towards the airport. A private jet was standing by to take the Grand Duchess back to Krasnodar. Some hours later, the phone rings at the cabin. An assistant calls the Grand Duke, "Your Highness, a call from Abkhazia, it's the Grand Duchess" "I'll take it in my room. Excuse me gentleman" said the Grand Duke leaving the table where the Veomese delegation was discussing the Zion situation and the previsions for the remain of the meeting. On the other side of the line the Grand Duchess was destroyed "He died. I came in the room and I I was holding his hand and and he died. He is in peace now." where her words on a failing voice. "Do you want me to go be with you my love?" the Grand Duke asked "No, you're more needed there. I'll go now." The Grand Duchess said, then the call was over. The Grand Duke was sitting on his bed, this changed everything now, or did it? He was wondering. Getting under control, he leaves the room, all the delegation was looking at him. "His Majesty Vasily VII has just past away. Send my condolences to Prince Alexi, he is still with the Krasnodarian Fleet near Anatolian coast. Inform the other monarchs, and as soon as this bloody meeting come to an end I shall leave to Abkhazia." with a buzz the delegation begun the preparation. Soon, Kahv was leaving towards the Cantonal Hall, the meeting would begin shortly. |

After a long, drawn out break, Helene was able to get all the leaders back into chambers to deal with the dual crises in the Anatolian region and now in Palestine. She would make her suggested proposal for peace later on, a she was still adjusting the wishes from Monaco-Ville-Nice to make it worthwhile for both sides to agree to. "Thank you all for returning to this meeting. Firstly, myself and the Northern leadership wish to extend our condolences to the Grand Duke on the passing of Vasily VII, and I know all other leaders and states do as well. As to the central matter of this conference, I suggest we discuss the orginal proposal from the Vienna Alliance on how to best address the Anatolian conflict. While I am curious to hear if Darjistan will commit to the cause in Central Anatolia, the Northern government will endorse the plan set forth from Veomo." Neither Helene or Jason were thrilled with the proposal, but they'd rather pass something half good then have the meeting bogged down by discussion. Besides, they needed to address Palestine quickly. |

(OOC: Sounds good.) In Conference Room B the Foreign Minister and Queen Cleopatra were mulling over the First Ministers words. After a few moments of quite chatter between the two, the Queen smiled and said " Surely I will give you time to consult with President Wayne. I have the utmost confidence in you and your staff in this matter." the Queen then sat back quite satisfied and said "I am most pleased.". The Queen then briefly touched on the situation in Anatolia saying " Hopefully with this and the Vienna proposal we can achieve the aims of this conference.". The Queen then thought a moment on the trouble in Nationalist Zion and Northern offer of support. The situation in the North was a tricky one being that it directly neighbored the Empire and its violent and unstable sectarian violence in the past and present. Not to mention the religious importance of the land. The Empire being neither Jewish, Christian, or Muslim but rather the traditional Egyptian faith had no stack in the religious importance of the Holy Land. However no one in the Imperial Administration had any interest in letting the 3 religions battle it out only miles from there border. "Perhaps the Empire not subscribing to any of these monotheism's puts us in a unique situation to see the situation?" the Queen wondered. Realizing the silence was becoming a bit awkward she started to talk " The Empire is currently viewing the situation in Nationalist Zion as a Imperial security threat. Obviously with the close proximity to our borders, our many nationals in the country, and the sectarian violence taking place our stability is threatened. So until these threats have subsided we're going to be viewing this as an Imperial military operation and will be working solely in the area. I do thank you for your offer and hopefully can take you up on it soon.". |
