Colonel Kiryu had gotten a hold of a travel guide describing the four golf courses the city had to offer, and read a loud the description to the four monarchs. "King's Parish, an Arnold Palmer-designed course that lies along the Southern Promenade. Says this one is easy to moderate difficulty designed for new players to familiarize themselves with the game. Located at the very edge of the city for a most relaxing atmosphere. Next one is St. Helena, the oldest and most respected course which lies in the Hillcrest area two miles east of the Old Estate. Says here this is one of the most challenging courses in Baradoz. For experienced players, beginners beware." Then we have Hollyoake, the newest 5-star course located in Chicana Plaza (northeast). This is apparently part of a country club with a fancy restaurant. Says the challenge is high, but doesn't seem to be as high as St. Helena. Kind of place that rich guys who do nothing but golf go and spend their days at. And then finally we have Channelside North, a 5-star course that's in the west side of St. John's along the Southland River. Says this one has a more moderate difficulty course, more for the casual players. Oh and apparently they have an alligator that escaped into the course somewhere along the rives during flood season, its rarely scene so it's become something of an attraction." Kiryu passed the pamphlet over to Emperor Julii who flipped though it a moment before passing it over to the Pharaoh. "I like King's Parish, out of the way and a little secluded, perfect place for a relaxing game and a nice chat, and no worries of getting eaten by some giant lizard." |

The Pharaoh took the pamphlet from the Emperor and looked it over. He laughed a little at the Emperor "Giant lizard" comment and said "Won't want to go for a swim in the Nile then whenever you find yourself in the Empire next. Can't tell you how many fishing lines I've lost to them.". He finished looking over the pamphlet and said "I agree with Emperor Julii, since this is more of a social outing I find King's Parrish to be the most appropriate. Though one day we shall have to try and conquer St. Helena's. Sound agreeable Grand Duke and King Dizwhar?" |

Later that day the monarchs had gotten the course to themselves and Emperor Julii had assigned two fire teams of Imperial Guards to ensure some level of privacy from eavsdroppers. Emperor Julii was looking though the bag for the correct driver (yeah like I know which club to use...) when he looked over at the Phaeroh then at the other monarchs. "So what do you guys think about this "honorable peace" that President Wayne is talking about? |

The Pharaoh chuckled a bit and then said "If by "Honorable peace." he means he gets to keep his North African holdings, then yes he can have an honorable peace. There was nothing honorable in this war for Byronmandy. The sooner President Wayne realizes this the better for his country.". The Pharaoh then set back to work sizing up his golf ball and practicing his swing. The Pharaoh then hit a ball he had shanked off the fairway with a 4 iron. The ball hit the green and fell 25 or so feet from the flag and the Pharaoh laughed at his luck saying to the Emperor "Try my 4 iron, surely there is some luck left on it!.". |

"You know, here's what I had in mind. We let him have a peace that lets him and his party save face, but we make it no secret that we're doing him a favor. We'd get two things out of it, one it wouldn't make us look like complete assholes by kicking him in the face while he's down and make his country rally around him like some kind of Fueher. Secondly it'll put him in our debt, if he really is a man of honor, he'll have to repay that favor someday, if not, well, we'll all get to see what a neo-conservative is all about." The Emperor said. He took the Pharaoh's 4 iron, and tee'ed his ball up. "Alright then..." He said just before he swung. The ball and the club made a loud crack at contact and the ball went flying and gently curved to the right, landing approximately 10 feet from the green. "Eh, I can live with that..." |

"Not a bad shot" the Pharaoh said slapping the Emperor on the back. He then began to speak on what the Emperor had just said "Similar to what I was thinking. What would we really do with Algeria and Morocco anyway? We must stand firm and pass measures we would like to see passed and then we can have our peace. I agree as well that we should make it public we're doing this out of the kindness of our hearts, not out of any weakness economically, politically, or militarily.". |

The Grand Duke, that so far had been silent, listening the talking of the two monarchs, chuckled looking at the concerned face of the Emperor trying to decide what club to use. After the fine shots of the monarchs, it was clear that it wasn't just luck what placed the Pharaoh's ball so near the flag. Getting his own 3 iron, a smooth swing and the small white ball was flying away to the green, it landed with a gentle curve, bouncing a few times before rolling about 12 feet beyond the waving flag. "hmm a strike of luck I guess", said the Grand Duke. "Now, I believe that another thing that must be clear are the spheres of influence. firmness is necessary, but we must not be rigid, but flexible as the papyrus sedge. I mean, we must be firm and at the same time flexible so the peace may be achieved." |
