The Foreign Minister nodded listening to the Sarrum's words and then spoke "I am sure the Queen will be most receptive to your stances. I see many of your points are in line with one another. Now if you will excuse for a moment I will phone Alexandria and get the Empires official response.". The Foreign Minister waited for the Sarrum to allow him to leave the table which he showed with a wave of his hand. The Foreign Minister flanked by two aides made his way to the most quite part of the restaurant he could find near the rear.

The Foreign Minister then reached in his pocket taking out his cellphone with its direct line to the Queen. He dialed and the phone rang before the Queen picked up, simply saying "Hello?". The Foreign Minister then responded saying "The Sarrum and I have seen Premier's statement. If you would, I'd like to know your opinions so I can inform the Sarrum of them. He's offered his support to us and the alliance in assuring peace in Veomo and our corner of the region.". It was quite for awhile on the other end of the line before the Queen finally started speaking again. When she finally did speak she spoke as if she was still gathering her thoughts, uncertain in this ever changing situation "The Premier has called for an emergency meeting of the Vienna Alliance. The Pharaoh and I shall be attending with an open mind. We simply do not know if we can trust the Premier or Prince Alexi, or indeed both. All we do know is that we must avoid open civil war in Veomo and I'm glad the Sarrum shares that viewpoint. For now our official stance is blaming no one until we get further answers, calling for calm, and listening to all sides. Though it seems the Grangale's have Prince Alexi and may know more than we do. Until we get to the bottom of this however that is our stance. We'll keep our forces on high alert but we won't move them into the Black Sea or Veomo unless an enemy or war presents itself. That being said whoever is responsible for the death of the Grand Duke is most certainly an enemy of the Empire and will be fought.".

With that the Foreign Minister wished the Queen well and returned back to the Sarrum's table. He told the Sarrum exactly what the Queen had said and told him about the importance of the upcoming meeting for the future of Veomo and perhaps the world?

The Sarrum listened with great attention. Such a meeting could be a great opportunity to evaluate the true value of the Vienna Alliance, even more if the Empire was to apply to join it or not. After the dinner, Naram-Suen approached the minister and said: "Minister Beaudelairen, would be there a possibility for the empire to send an observer to this meeting, before I made a decision on whether join or not the Alliance?"

After the minister answered, the Sarrum accompanied him to the entrance of the restaurant where the Maybach was waiting to take the minister back to the hotel. A few meters behind another maybach was waiting to take the Sarrum back to the Imperial Residence in Damascus.

The Foreign Minister nodded in agreement at the Sarrum's proposal and said "A very good and wise idea. I shall contact the Queen on that.". The Foreign Minister took out his Blackberry and texted the Queen who quickly replied with her proposal. The Foreign Minister was quite happy with her answer and said aloud to the Sarrum "The Queen will have you or an emissary you wish to send as her personal guest in Vienna.". The Sarrum seemed quite happy with his answer and after some more small talk they went their seperate ways.

The Foreign Minister walked into his hotel room feeling a sense of relative accomplishment. Ikuani he felt assured was to be a good neighbor of Monaco-Ville-Nice. "Potentially even an ally in the future?" he thought before remembering the future was often pointless to try and predict.
