The City of Vienna prepares itself to receive once more the members of the Vienna Alliance, this time the atmosphere wasn't as joyful as it could have been on other times. Not very far from there the Grand Duchy of Veomo-Krasnodar was on the brink of a civil war, and the meeting was the last chance to prevent the conflict and throw some light on the assassination of the Grand Duke and the disappearance of the Grand Duchess. Premier Gustav Kendar, and a group of other high officer, were preparing themselves as the official airplane begins to descend upon Vienna's airport. Among the group were RIS Director Nikolai Andropov and Commander Nika Kurchenko, Minister of Defense Markum Iubek, Ambassador Ivan Temkoy, and several high ranked data annalists and other staff personnel. Gustav Kendar was looking at the beautiful Viennese night falling over the city, as the first lights of the night begins to lit up, there was no turning back now. It was the last match of a game before pulling arms. It was an all or nothing match. Time had come to decide the future of his beloved nation! |

Grangale One was enroute to Vienna from St. John, there had not been enough time to fly back to Directia. If fact, it was this emergency meeting call that prompted the Council to order two Tu-144SP aircraft to quickly get around the continent. The Emperor's staff aboard the plane and in Directia and Istanbul had been working overtime to gather all the information and evidence that had been collected together and transmitted to Grangale One via encrypted satellite communications. Emperor Julii read though the files and was fairly certain that Prince Alexi was innocent, but he wanted to hear what Kendar had to say on the matter first. He didn't think Prince Alexi was responsible, but wasn't sure if Kendar was either. It was very possible that someone else was pulling Kendar's strings. The main reason the Emperor did not suspect the Prince was that he was not in the line of succession. What would his motive have been...? And secondly, the Prince had been working with Commodore Ramius of the 4th Fleet since the cease fire had been called. Though like all the other leaders, Emperor Julii did not want things to disintegrate into civil war, and he decided to keep an open line to Prince Alexi and keep him updated on what was happening. "This is the captain, we are now making our final approach to Vienna, prepare for landing." Edited by Grangale Empire, Oct 13 2011, 01:01 PM.

Imperial Air Corps One was flying over the Central Mediterranean en route to Vienna the home of the Vienna Alliance. The mode on the plane was more subdued than the usual party like atmosphere that almost always surrounded the Monégasque royalty and their entourage. Aides and media members typed and worked away on their laptops, Imperial officers were busy on their cellphones, servants moved from aisle to aisle with gold trays of refreshments, and the royal couple were locked away in their massive chambers aboard the royal transport, passing the time alone on their way to Vienna. Pharaoh Mark Antony was seductively feeding Queen Cleopatra red grapes as both laid on a lounger. The Pharaoh kissed the Cleopatra after every grape and then softly said "I wonder which ones telling the truth? Kender? Or Alexi?" the Queen kissed the Pharaoh and then said "Or maybe none? Or both? We shall have to be as detectives on this trip.". The Pharaoh nodded and said "Agreed." before a smile crept across his face prompting the Queen to say "What?", the Pharaoh laughed and said "Just thinking of how sexy you would look in a trench coat.". The Pharaoh then looked away as if he remembered some great thought he had long forgot. The Queen said "What's it now? Trying to remember the best San Lumenese coat store?". The Pharaoh smiled and exclaimed "I almost forgot to tell you!", the Queen looked confused and said "Tell me what?". The Pharaoh sat up now and grabbed his cell phone and began looking for a number and then said "I dispatched one of our covert naval deep sea salvage teams to the English Channel a week ago." the Queen now sat up as well interest peaked. The Pharaoh continued fumbling with his phone before continuing "I tasked them with finding the remains of HRH Grand Duchess Natalya's flight. They should be over the last known coordinates of the doomed flight within the hour!" the Pharaoh proudly said. The Queen gave the Pharaoh a annoyed look and said "You are just telling me this now!". The Pharaoh laughed and sarcastically said "Better late than never." as an aide knocked on the door and said "We're starting our decent into Vienna.". |

Grangale One made it's landing and Emperor Julii hardly noticed the plane touching down, engrossed in the reports from the IIS. By the time the plane was taxing towards the terminal, the Emperor had written two letters and gave it to Almathea to handle. They were letters to King Jason and the Queen and Pharaoh to meet with him after Kendar had said what he had to say. He wasn't sure where they stood, but he was confident they were just as determined to catch who assassinated the Grand Duke as he was. Afterwards he continued to wrack his brain of any possible motives Prince Alexi may have, he didn't want settle on a conclusion just yet, but while a motive for Kendar was obvious, outside of personal beef with his brother-in-law and sister, the Emperor couldn't think of any plausible motives that Prince Alexi would have to carry this out. Neither of the Imperial commanders that had worked with the Prince had noticed any strange behavior from him.

King Jason had just arrived home from a state visit to Monaco Ville Nice. He was tired and simply wanted to rest. However being King he knew he couldn't. He had a feeling something would come up. In walked his Chief of Staff Gregory Hemsworth. Gregory was a young man in his early 30s and was very muscular having been a Navy SEAL. "Your Majesty an emergency meeting of the Vienna Alliance has been called in Vienna.'' Said Greg. "In regards to what?'' King Jason. "The situation in Veomo and the mysterious circumstances surronding the plane crash involving the Grand Duchess.'' Greg informed. "Understood. Inform the Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State and the director of the HMIS (His Majesty's Intelligence Service) they coming too.'' King Jason said. The chief of staff proceeded to inform both secretaries as Royal One was prepared at Galileo Galilei Airport in Pisa. King Jason got in his motorcade and was greeted at the airport by Secretary of State Benson Thomas, Secretary of Defense Regina Bates, and HMIS director Maureen Viloria. Secretary of Defense Regina Bates was a middle aged women as was Director Viloria. Both of them quite beautiful. All three bowed as the King got out of the royal limo. The King shook their hands and thanked them for coming. On the plane King Jason kept thinking what motivation Prince Alexi might have had. He had a feeling there was more to the situation. HMIS Director Maureen Viloria handed him some documents that they proceeded to discuss. About two hours later they landed at Emperor Franz Joesph I International Airport and got into the waiting motorcade to head to the meeting location at the Vienna Alliance HQ. Once Imperial Air Corps had touched down in Vienna the Queen called a meeting with senior members of her staff, Defense Minister Ptah, Foreign Minister Nelson Beaudelairen, The Chief of the Mukhabarat (The Imperial Intelligence Agency), Ambassador to Veomo Amenemhat, Pharaoh Mark Antony, and several analysts on the current situation in Veomo. The Queen had called for the meeting in one of Imperial Air Corps One's ultramodern on board meeting rooms to avoid any unwanted media attention and outside influences. Queen Cleopatra was speaking "Do we have any indications of who might be connected with the Grand Dukes assassination and who might not yet? I'd like to go into this meeting feeling like I have some idea of who is telling the truth.". The Ambassador to Veomo then spoke saying "The Premier has essentially consolidated power in Veomo. Though elements of the army has moved over to Prince Alexi and his rebels. We don't know if this is to fill the power vacum or if this is some premeditated plan by the Premier. Needless to say it's worth watching and noting that the person that has profited the most by the Grand Dukes death and Grand Duchesses disappearance is the Premier. That being said Prince Alexi can also potentially stand to profit a great deal as well.". The Pharaoh sat back in his chair displeased and said "So what you're telling us is you don't know.". The Ambassador nodded his head slowly and said "Indeed.". Foreign Minister Nelson Beaudelairen then spoke up saying "It does seem however that the Grangales have already chosen Prince Alexi's side.". The Queen looked a bit distant, off in thought and said "That could force our hand.". Just as those words left her mouth an aide knocked on the door and entered saying "Emperor Julii would like to meet with you highness after the Premier has spoken.". The Queen then sat forward and said "Well that's our meeting then, we should get off the plane. We'll all meet again once the Premier has spoken and the Pharaoh and I have met with Emperor Julii.". With that the meeting was adjourned and the Queen and Pharaoh excited the plane to the flashbulbs of photographers. They smiled and waved and seemed almost removed from the chaos that could potentially come if this meeting didn't go well. Though underneath their smiles was unease, unease that an ally was inching closer to instability, and possibly even war... |

The meeting in Vienna was called during King Edward's meeting with President Wayne of Byronmandy, so the King was unable to travel to Vienna. In his place was sent his son, Crown Prince Henry, who had been informed of Celatoria's general stance on the issue and given authority to make decisions in his father's stead. The Prince had been in the North of the country, and so chose to travel to Vienna by train, a relatively short trip. As his train pulled into Vienna, the Prince was fainly nervous, this being his first official duty of any importance. |

At the Vienna Alliance HQ was all set. It was the first time Gustav Kendar set foot in the building, though wasn't the first he was to speak to the greatest leaders of the known world. His case was solid. He was sure of it. He was prepared as he steps down the car. Reporters from all over the region were flashing their bulbs as the Veomese group walked up the stairs of the building. Soon later the other members begun to arrive at the HQ. |

King Jason was greeted by a massive amount of reporters flashing their cameras and trying to get a statement from the King and the two secretaries. King Jason gave a brief statement to the media from the steps of the beautiful Vienna Alliance HQ to calm nerves an address rumors being floated on the air and in the papers. He explained to the media what the conference was about and that everything would be done to resolve the situation in the Grand Duchy of Veomo in a peaceful and diplomatic manner. King Jason and the trio headed inside to the grand lobby of the HQ. To say it was ornate would be an understatement. It was exquisite! They headed inside to the conference room which had large windows and a view overlooking Vienna. The room was all set up and ready to go for the conference. Placecards and refreshments were being placed by staffmembers. The King noticed Premier Gustav Kendar had already arrived and proceeded to introduce himself. |

"Your Majesty, the car is here." Almathea whispered to Emperor Julii's ear. "HUH?! Oh, right, lets go then." He answered, his attention still on the files. Colonel Kiryu descended the stairs first, followed by the Emperor, followed by Almathea, then followed by two armed Guardsmen. After the assassination at St. John, the Imperial Council and Colonel Kiryu insisted in additional bodyguards. For a moment Emperor Julii considered taking his AKS-74U but decided against it and opted for his Mk.23 pistol instead. This was allied territory and the Emperor didn't think he'd need the firepower of an assault rifle and thought the .45 caliber handgun would be plenty sufficient for self defense. As he stepped off the stairs there were several reporters sticking microphones and cameras in his face, but he said nothing and only waived his hand in a dismissive gesture. At this point in time he had nothing to say to them, and quickly made his way to the car that would take them to the conference hall. Anything he could say to them right now would only be speculation. About half an hour later they arrived. Kiryu and one of the Guardsmen remained outside in the lobby area, while Almathea and the other Guardsman accompanied the Emperor. He found his place and took a seat, waiting for the conference to begin. He saw the Queen and Pharaoh already seated and flashed a mock salute to the couple, as a friendly greeting. Premier Kendar then entered and took his seat, he caught the Emperor's eye and Emperor Julii simply nodded in neutral acknowledgement. |
