This is a spotlight feature on the upcoming fight between Hamish ‘Reaper’ Graham and his opponent Sara ‘No Nickname Necessary’ Pettis. Many people are saying this could be a prelude to the finals of the title tournament scheduled for SmashMouth #5. So without further ado, let’s get to the meat and potatoes of this fight. Hamish ‘The Reaper’ Graham Camp: Graham’s Gym Weight: 200 lbs. Height: 6’3” Reach: Average Strengths: - Dynamite for hands - Takedown defense - Great chin Weakness: - Not much in the gas tank - Not very good on the ground - Inconsistent History: Hamish Graham has blown up upon his arrival here in Big Money Fights. With only 2 fights under his belt, he’s not only won, he’s knocked out both of his opponents in under 3 minutes. In fact it only took him two minutes and seventeen seconds to dispatch Julian Ortiz with a powerful right hand. In the Black Irish fight he was able to knock out Jon Sheppard in two minutes and forty-eight seconds, also with a powerful right hand. Sara ‘No Nickname Necessary’ Pettis Camp: Black & Blue Crew Weight: 132 lbs. Height: 5’ 6” Reach: Short Strengths: - Hard to catch - Fast hands - Can go for miles Weakness: - Weak chin - Not known for heavy hands - Size History: The smallest competitor in the BMF currently, Sara Pettis has fought as an underdog for her past 2 fights. Doing the unthinkable, she’s stopped Maddox ‘Mad Max’ Monson, as well as Kid Krazie, both fighters currently under the Beautiful Bastards camp. This will be her first fight, facing an opponent not aligned with “Beautiful” Bobby Dean, can she continue her winning ways? She’s got both a submission and knock out to her name as she forced Max to tap due to a beautiful Achilles lock, followed with an amazing flying kick to Kid Krazie the following week. I had a chance to sit down with one of the competitors for SmashMouth #3 – Reaper vs. Pettis, Hamish ‘Reaper’ Graham. This is what he had to say. Amber Lynn: With your upcoming fight later this week, rumor has it, the winner will be a lock in for the first seed of the title tournament at SmashMouth #5. What are your thoughts on this? Reaper: Simple, I'm not here for titles and fame, been there, done that. I'm here to help out my friend Tycoon get this place running and because I'm getting paid to beat in the faces of young punks. Amber Lynn: What are your thoughts on your opponent? Reaper: Pettis is a good competitor, she's a tough little bitch. I remember that from other places we've met. Thing is when we're in the "ring" that's one thing but out here in the real world, poor thing is just gonna end up hurt. Amber Lynn: Anything specific you're training for, for this one? Reaper: Our backgrounds are similar but I'm all about the stand up as everyone knows. I'm working on my ground game with Jeremiah teaching me a thing or two. So either way the bitch goes down. Amber Lynn: What's next? Anyone you really want a piece of? Reaper: Whoever Tycoon pays me to dismantle. Amber Lynn: Anything you'd like to tell your opponent? Reaper: Do you and me a favor and just back out now. I don't wanna mess up that pretty little face, maybe if you ask nice I'll let you be my next love and leave um story. Sara Pettis was not available to comment at the time, we’re scheduled to have a sit down with her later this week. |
