yeah you'd have to buy some equipment to make it possible but I know people who do it. The pass through equipment is real cheap too. I have no doubt the Hauppauge HD PVR is better though. Do you have a link to what it looks like? |

Too bad I'm used to playing in 1080p, else I'd buy the Dazzle. |

it looks pretty good. I hate the H.264 codec though. It always washed the color out when compared to regular uncompressed avi files. I guess I could always convert the h264 in my after effects but still. |

After Effects can convert codecs? Didn't know that. Also, does it make it perfect or is there some quality loss? |

yes after effect can say make a h264 quicktime movie into an avi file. I do it all the time. As far as quality goes it won't degrade quality unless you change the settings for less lossness. |

So Trian I am looking at the HD PVR and was wondering does it have any VGA inputs and outputs or only the RCA cables?? B/c i play with my pc monitor and I use either the HDMI inputs or the VGA connection. I really want to find a way so i can capture stuff in Games like MW2 that don't have a theater b/c while dazzle is nice to have for post capturing there is not way i can play a game while capturing on a small preview screen rofl. |

i would def go with the Hauppauge HD PVR. Top of the line right now, well other than the Black Magic which has hdmi inputs. |

yeah I'd rather go with the HD PVR since it does all the hard processing power on itself rather than stressing the computer which means I can leave more computing power to possibly do live streams and stuff too. I figured out a way to get the component HDMI cables to HDMI cable with this device from looking on youtube. http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10114&cs_id=1011406&p_id=4631&seq=1&format=4#feedback I think i'm gunna get this =) |
