So has anyone here played Oblivion? I used to own the game like 3 years ago but got bored like right after you escape the cells. I am willing to give this game another try again since in a year Skyrim is coming out i figure i should play this. I found the game of the Year edition on Amazon for real cheap. I am mainly asking anyoen play and if you do is the main story of the game at least good?

I'm about half-way through the main campaign and done with all faction quests except the Thieve's Guild. I stopped playing a while back and it was tough getting back into it when I started again some time ago (used the same lvl 37 character). I know I'm actually going to go back and finish the game before Skyrim comes out. Speaking of Skyrim, the trailer was worthless.

yeah all first trailers are. They don't have any stuff completed to showcase yet so they have to create something that is a teaser really.

Well, I got out of jail, the king died, gave me his amulet thing. And then I travelled to the arena thing.. Where I became like a level 5 in that. And then I was like, I don't have the attention span for this game.

I find it really fun. When i first started playing, it got a bit boring so i decided to just mess around and pick pocket people, and i got sent to jail a lot. Then i got a message from the thieves guild and they asked me to join it so i accepted. From that point on, all the missions were really fun because it was all about solving mysteries, robbing people and selling the items you robbed. I found that really fun and interesting. I played it so much that my xbox got the red ring, and it took like a month for me to get my xbox back. And after i got my xbox back i started playing halo 3.
Im pretty sure i would've gotten bored if i didn't join the thieves guild. The game is really interesting, it's one of the best games i played.

Dude, to fun have in Oblivion just do what my brothers do to every game, break it. My one little brother just duped ebony breastplates in his one house until he could no longer even enter the CITY that the house was in. The game just could not load it. Then they would just go skooma jumping by duping skooma and downing all of it so they had like 400 STR and then they would jump out of towns. That aside, the game itself is really really fun if you are willing to put the time into the story and sidequests. They did fantastic work on the game and you can literally do almost anything in it. Give it another try.
