Desktop vs The Cloud

Microsoft has a virtual server package that allows you to basically download the program state onto your computer and then run it.

There are cloud services that don't require a web browser. The processing requirements (depending on the program) will still be on the client machine. The difference lies in whose hard drive everything is stored on.

To be honest, I think some services will gravitate towards the cloud and group collaboration (sourceforge, etc.) where as some other programs will remain desktop only (ones where no collaboration is required).
yeah I prefer to have no collaboration software when it comes to stuff like adobe and junk but things like Chrome and stuff I guess I could understand working better.

Some programs would be better run as a group while other I want to manage myself without anyone messing it up for me or just randomly saying "NOPE UR DONE, GET OFF" lol
