New pc I built in feb 2011 already had the motherboard fail. Not something on my end either. Some of Gigabytes boards have this issue where if it goes into sleep mode it will just break afterward. 3+ month later my bard apparently did just this and it won't post to boot anymore. Already ordered a next day air delivery of a new MB. Real lame that a MB this expensive has such a silly non-fixable issue =( All I know is once I get my new pc back up I won't use sleep mode again lol Edited by N7R, Jun 15 2011, 02:27 PM.

crisis has been averted. Got the new MB in and everything is good to go. I suspect the other Mb might not have died but appeared that way due to it short curcuting over a usb port b/c I had a similar issues whne turning on the new one for the first time. But once I removed the usb device into another slot everything was dandy. but I'll never know if the other MB I have is actually still go or not, I don't plan to take my pc apart to try it lolol also Ladicius, still waiting for pics on your pc lol |
