Original guild charter, revisions in process: Intro We are the Black Sun Boyz, a Warhammer Online Destruction RP-Regiment, based in North America. The Black Sun Boyz was created prior to the launch of Warhammer Online and has persisted ever since. We are a Greenskin Regiment that, through our role-playing background, accepts the other destruction races to fight alongside as mercenaries known as: The Aethyrkin Legion. Goal To provide all full Regiment members with the best possible game experience in WAR. Through teamwork and understanding of what our players want we will achieve this. We aim to provide a friendly environment for players that wish to RP without constraints. We also attempt to achieve success in PvP for the advancement of our members. Regiment Structure Warboss The Warboss is the leader of the guild. There may be only one Warboss at any given time, and a new Warboss may only be appointed by the current Warboss. All decisions of the Warboss are final. Bosses and Nobz As officers of the guild, Bosses and Nobs are here to help, listen, and communicate with the rest of the guild. They will maintain a positive attitude and be committed to the goals of the guild. To be promoted to the rank of Nob you may either be nominated by a current Nob or Boss, or be appointed by the Warboss. Appointment to the rank of Boss can only be done by the Warboss. A Boss shares the same powers as a Warboss, but his actions can be undone by the Warboss alone. Big'Uns Also known as the standard bearer, these will be chosen bi-weekly from the ranks of the guild by the Warboss. The goal is that everyone will get a chance to serve as the guild standard bearer if they wish to. When you are cycled out you will return to your previous rank. Ardboyz, Skarboyz, Wierdboyz As the game and guild progresses, certain players will stand out and be rewarded with this title for it. For excellence in RvR and great attendance to Guild functions, and commitment to guild goals you will be recognized with the rank of 'Ardboy for melee careers Skarboy for ranged careers, and Wierdboy for Healing careers. Gruntz/Aethyrkin As a full member of the guild you are expected to follow the Guild Charter and participate in guild functions. You will also have access to all guild perks (Guild Banking, Crafting, Renown Gain) and be able to serve as a Big'Un. Ladz: As a trial member of the guild you will be required to show your dedication via guild activity in a two week cycle. At the end of your cycle, the Warboss will decide to promote you to Grunt(full member), keep you as a Lad for one more week, or remove you from the Black Sun Boyz. Ladz are not able to become Big'Uns. Ladz may not invite alts. Snots: This is not an official guild rank. If you are found by members of the guild to be breaking guild laws, you will be relegated to the SNOT demote rank by the warboss. As a Snot you will have NO access to guild functions and benefits. You will be able to read guildchat but unable to speak. This is a temporary Punishment rank. Do not view it as a /gkick. The Warboss will give you several ways of being reinstated to your rank. This is a safety net, people screw up sometimes but they need to know it. Alts: All alternate characters that wish to be invited will be given Grunt status. Only Full members (Grunts and up) may include their alts into the guild. If you wish to change you main character, notify the Warboss or Boss and he will switch the ranks out. Guild Communication In order to organize the number of people we have, we will use a combination of In-game contact, Guild Ventrilo and Guild Forums. We expect that all full members will be registered on our forums and will make use of them when not in-game. Ventrilo may be used at any time for voice communication. Guild Events All Members of the guild may organize events in-game. Events Hosted by Officers of the guild take priority and will include all members of the guild. These events include but are not limited to: RvR, RP, OOC, Vent, PVE, PQ. Such events will be given fair prior planning so that many people may attend. Guild Roleplaying All guild members must maintain in-character dialogue in /say and general chat channels. Guild Chat is both OOC/IC as the situation provides.Breaking from character is frowned upon but if the situation requires it will be overlooked, EX: Heated RvR/PVE. You will not be required to be IC in Ventrilo or in private messages. For story arcs the forum RP section will be used. In general, RP in-game is situational. Behavior All guild members are expected to treat each other and our allies with respect. There will be no foul language in guild or alliance channels. Partying and Looting The entire guild will take a Need before Greed Policy on BOPs, Blues and Purples. If someone can use an item better than you then pass it off to them.If the loot decision comes between a main char and an alt, the main wins out in Need. The group leader will make the decision, if the decision is found to be unfair/biased then an Officer will be contacted. BOE Greens are Need before Greed as well but the decision will be decided with a roll. When grouped outside the Guild or if running a Guild group with allies, you must discuss loot rules and choose a party leader BEFORE meeting your party objective. Remember we're here to have fun with each other while playing the game. Guild Crafting Resources If you are recieving excess resource or crafting goods that you cannot use (selling for needed money is considered a use). You are encouraged to send to the central guild bank for redistribution to people who can process these resources for the good of the whole guild. Guild crafters will not charge Guildmates cash for their services, although helping hunt down materials is acceptable. Disputes and Arguments Will be mediated by officers. All final punishment decisions will be made by the Warboss. On-going disputes may result in demotion to Snot rank or even removal from the guild. Inactivity If you know you are going to be AFK for an extended period of time, it is encouraged that you make this known via a post on the guild forum. If you cannot post then you may let at least two members of the guild know. Preferably the Warboss himself. If you fail to notify anyone of your absence you will be removed from the guild if you are gone too long. In the event of your return you will be allowed to rejoin BUT will begin as completely new entrant to the Guild. Edited by Taburz, Oct 15 2010, 04:16 PM.
