Last Saturday before Christmas, wind and rain, I shall be intrigued to see how many witness Saturday's encounter. We owe them after being robbed last year by a dodgy penalty and then a wonder strike from distance. I wonder if they're still providing live TV commentary....

The kick-by-kick commentary was an interesting concept, I think I'd hit the M58 when the final whistle was heard over the airwaves. It was bad enough in mid-September, give my regards to Tony.

Lets hope the weathers not the winner as it shocking tonight. At least the Winter Soltice happens Saturday December 21 at 17:11 gmt. The Shortest day. Then the daylight hours start increasing.

Will have to listen in as I'm not going to make it to the game unfortunately!
Would be nice to win this one today as I don't think we've ever won there previously?

HT 0-0.

Commentators say Laird's have been the better side. They might be a little bit biased!!

Not biased at all, probably one of our worst game of the season. Lacking bite in midfield causing strikers little to get on the end off. No positives to be found from this game other than a well below the standard required.

One old timer Laird fan said on leaving the ground that was one of the worst Clitheroe sides he ever seen.

Really disappointing.

Merry Christmas to one and all.

The radio guys were pretty fair I thought and said it was a close game!

Must win game on Boxing Day as no doubt Padiham will be up for it, just as they were in the FA Cup.

I was still hoping we might sneak a point at the end, but in all honesty we got what we deserved. Lairds were quicker on the break but Lloyd and Sean Miller had the pick of the chances in the first half. The Lairds goal after 55 minutes was a shocker. A free kick from just in front of us in the Lairds half was launched towards our goal, it bounced once and their forward scored. I don't think we touched it. 30 seconds later Danny Morton tangled with one of their players - I didn't have a clear sight of the ball but either (i) he'd been shot (ii) he thought it was that funny he was laughing on the ground (iii) Danny in trying to protect the ball had stuck out a leg which the player ran into. (ii) and (iii) seemed favourite, but the ref was going for a land speed record in brandishing the card. Bizarrely, we actually seemed better when the midfield had thinned out. We're just crying out for a young Pete Smith on the wing to take the fight to the opposition. However, we were not too far away from getting a point. Match report to follow tomorrow.
