The games come thick and fast over the festive period, with the two home fixtures separated by only 48 hours. Given the weather forecast, it would be helpful if a few of you could put a mental note for a bit of potential pitch repair on the Friday morning between them both to make sure we make the most of the fixtures. Wellies/a fork and an hour or so of your time to work off the Christmas pud should be the order of the day. Talking of which, I'll be having a chat with a few of you on the ground about becoming part of the CFC match day support squad. Nothing onerous, you're not signing your lives away, but just having 15-20 people who can be on my radar to offer an hour or two of their time on match days on 4-5 occasions a season, would be incredibly helpful and would supplement the small core of workers currently.

As for the games themselves, playing three of the top four after a tough local derby on Boxing Day will need us all to be in good voice. By that point, we will have played virtually all the Top 8 both home and away.
