Given the tragic news about the death of Colin Wilson, it did not somehow feel appropriate to post this item on the club website at this time. However, fans will wish to know that Lloyd Dean has signed for Droylsden FC in the EvoStik premier. He has been a key part of the team throughout the season and goes with the club's best wishes.

The club and life has lost a good man today and I'm assuming the fans will get a chance to pay their respects tomorrow.

As regards Lloyd I wish him well and as a fan I am sorry to see him go as he's a quality player. Having lost Danny, Lloyd and Chewie in three weeks we are looking a poorer team for their loss.

Just like to say i have really enjoyed my time at clitheroe football club the fans, staff, players and manager everything about it. I had a few offers to play closer to home in my time and couldnt bring myself to leave shawbridge has a good feeling and a draw to it i couldnt escape. I genuinely believe in time simon garner and ryan parr will bring success to the club they have an enthusiasm and a desire to win that rubbed off on all the players myself included when they arrived they have an attitude between them that wont allow failure. The fans since i arrived have been brilliant with me sucking the ball in at times and burscough was my way of telling simon regardless of off field events dont leave me on the bench haha but pilling in the crowd at home to vics was a highlight. Thanks to anne also brilliant with me from beggining to end pleasure to meet her lovely woman. Hopefully not the last time i visit shawbridge and i wish everybody at the club all the best for the future.

Thanks for everything really appreciated
Lloyd

Hi Lloyd, lots going on so I've not had chance to reply. In the short time you've been here you've made a major impact and it's no surprise you've made the step up. The only surprise is that it took you so long to get there!! I can't believe that Droylsden will be the final end of the journey. We've also had plenty of laughs with your dad, Barry, Tom (beer and pies don't mix) and your mate with the beard, whose name I don't actually know! Playing at Prescot was like going to a family outing, and Tom inviting all the away fans to kip on his floor after an evening at the Wetherspoons down the road wasn't the kind of offer you get every day. Don't be a stranger at Shawbridge and I look forward to our paths crossing again in this small non-league pool. Cheers, Chris.
