Some stupendous football today from the Blues, crushing a team who are on an excellent run and whose strength has been their home form. With Cory Bent back in the side, there was a bit of X factor thrown in the mix as well. First half we played up the hill on a surprisingly good surface. Clitheroe shaded the half, with Cory missing a gaping goal before Baggio Bonaminio hit a free kick from distance which took a deflection past the keeper. Second half, the floodgates opened with the ball helpfully holding up when it was pushed past the defence, rather than running out of play as is usually the case. Sefton helped himself to a brace before Jay Hart banged one in from 20 yards. Big Alex Palffy still had time to save a penalty with one minute to go from an outrageous decision, but nothing could detract from the fact that this side is getting better week on week. Not a bad performance amongst the 14 who took to the pitch. First class.

Got to second that. Another excellent away day. As LD says we just get better and better. Sefton and Cory take a bow as they mesmerised Radcliffe today. Not say the rest of the team didn't do their part too and defensively we must be the most improved.

Think I've said it before but the subs bench is probably the strongest we've have.

Come on you Blues!

Another clean sheet! I said after the Lancaster game that the defence looked much improved. We seem to be far too strong for some of the teams at the bottom of the division. Unfortunately, because of our poor start, I think we've given ourselves a bit too much to do to reach the play-offs.
