Any decent team winning 3 - 0 at half-time should go on and win the game, especially against a team next to bottom of the league.

Not as simple as that, played some great stuff, some good balls into the box, fell apart on the sending off, which was in a word, stupidity.

3-0 up and cruising at half time playing some great football. Silly mistake between Palffy & Brady made it 3-1 then Bonaminio sent off for a stupid tackle when already on a yellow. Defence & midfield lost their composure after that and New Mills threw everyone forward and levelled in 4th minute of stoppage time.

We looked a decent team in the first half, comfortably going in for the break with a 3 goal lead. No-one's said we're the finished article yet and the management and players will have learnt lessons from things that happened in the second half. Yes it's disappointing to only come away with a draw after looking so much on top - but that's football, it's never over until the final whistle blows and anything can happen until then.

First half 3-0 up and cruising. Second half lost our discipline and composure on the ball. Happens!

Thanks to Roy for the updates yesterday. It was pretty tense from the moment their first goal went in so early in the second half, and the 94th minute equaliser just put the tin lid on things. As Roy says, though, the only unforgivable thing would be not to learn from it. If we put this in our collective memory and handle the next time we're 3-0 up that much better, the disappointment will have been worth it. Great to see big Sefton and Jay on the score sheet again. And to think we couldn't buy a goal last season.

.... is petem the only one who's got a pair on here ....
Asks the fan who hides behind a nickname about another fan who refuses to reveal his identity!

I said it was disappointing - if that makes me a moron then so be it.

Five wins and 1 draw out of the last 7, 21 goals scored. Total chokers. I'm with Karlos, sack the manager, the Board and probably the pie supplier. He told us it was all going wrong in late September -
"it's time to stop talking and act before it's to late once we get cut adrifted it will take a hell of a lot to claw our way back". Now tell me he talks a load of old cojones.....

Losing a three-goal lead is poor and I'm sure the manager will have had his say on the matter. I was following the scoring on Twitter and I was as disappointed as anyone but the players didn't choke at Bamber Bridge under extreme pressure in the cup quarter-final and didn't choke at home to Droylsden the week before when it was 2-2 and they had enough about them to go again after being pegged back. I'm happy to cut the players a bit of slack on this occasion, whether the manager does that's up to him. As LD says, the real crime would not be learning from the experience. I recall we produced an amazing comeback at New Mills not so long ago, these things happen sometimes. One defeat in seven is hardly dicky's meadow territory.
