Always hard to do a decent match report when on stewarding duty, but the victory looked deserved today - few gripes about the outcome from the impeccable Darlo fans. The away team looked very big, athletic and hungry in the first 30 minutes, which included an uncharacteristic slip from Baggio which left the Darlo striker 1 on 1 to score. This team's made of stern stuff though and just before half time a Garner corner was stabbed home by Danny Brady. The second half was all Blue and the home team cause was helped immeasurably when a defender shot his arm straight up under no pressure to give a penalty, converted with aplomb by big Sefton. There were still other twists and turns, not least Baggio going for an early bath for an apparent forearm smash. However, the points never looked like being lost, indeed there was still time for Brady to hit the bar.

After Scarborough, Darlo were another ex league club who were a credit to their club. Even their locust like demolition of 180 pies before the game had kicked off didn't dampen spirits. The team even left their changing rooms in perfect nick which shows a lot of class for me after some of the pigsties we're often left with. I wish them well and hope they hold their nerve in the run in. Finally, the six stewards who travelled down with them were a class act and helped make the game a great success. On to the Macron.

A performance to be proud of lads from 1 to 15. It perhaps wasn't a game for the football purist in truth it was a battle but to come from behind against a very decent side, then hang on for 35 mins under a lot of pressure was a superb effort well done to all.
On the discipline side we have to improve, too many silly yellows and unnecessary reds at the moment.
