OK, I don't see that this double post will hurt much. It's like a fanart or fanfic actually. Double posting allowed in this topic by DjangoSP.

The thought just crossed my mind. Its all well and good that you have a light bulb and socket and all... but... What are you using to power it?

Also, you may consider adding a mirror-coated-sheet-cone-thing around the base of the lightbulb, this will greatly amplify the light.

Some predicted problems: If the metal is too light the light will shine through.
If the gun is used for too long you'll heat up the metal and not only burn whoever is holding it, but also whatever components are inside.
If any electrical piece is exposed to the metal it may short circut causing electrical shock.

I would suggest making the barrel and chamber as almost one piece, and keeping the handle as a separate but attached piece, both insulated electronically and around the outside. This will both protect angainst overheating and electrical shocks, as well as provide comfort.

Yes, I've heard those problems before, but I got them covered don't worry, and for the power source it'll be run by batteries and back-up with the solar energy that will be collected from the solar cell.
Also if ya find more possible problem please tell me, I can sure use a lot of help and pointers, and Thanks.

Last question for a bit... But steel sheets aren't exactly... cheap... or very molding friendly. Not to say that they can't be, its just, they're very stubborn and if you mess up a little, well, the metal won't forgive you for that unless you resheet it. Which leads me to my question, what kind of workshop are you using for this?

Where are you getting the solar cell from? Have you figured out exactly how the internal wiring should be done? Have you drawn up detailed plans for how you'll assemble everything, run those plans by someone with experience in electronics, and tested the components to make sure they work together?

Kool, I never noticed that, but I'll just get a solar cell by itself and put it together later, cuz I am building the solar gun out of raw material and stuff that I can't make out of raw material then I'll have to buy it.

Update: I finally got the Solar cell and a battery holder.
Now time to build the inside part of it, the outside cover can wait a little long though.
Again photos coming soon.
