Moving to games section. As for the topic, I've had my DS ever since a week after it first came out and I've never needed a screen protector. |

The worst part of game protectors is completely the opposite of bandages: putting them on. Wash your hands, wash your face, comb your hair, and work in a well lit environment while you are putting them on. That way, no dust particles or eyelashes get underneath the protector. As long as you line up the corners of the protector with the edge of the screen, and lay it down flat very slowly, you'll be fine. Make sure you apply it evenly as you lay it on the screen, and there won't be a single bubble. If one forms while you're laying the protector down, peel it back a little and try again. If you're using good protectors, they won't leave any residue. Hori are the best, but I've had good luck with Pelican brand. Be careful with the Pelican brand; they are easier to find, but they are slightly bigger, and fit tighter to the edges of the screen, making them difficult to put on correctly. |

unless you bang your stylus on the screan it won't make a diference. I played metroid prime and pushed my screen hard and there isn't a single mark on it. |

We careful because some knockoff brand screen protectors claim to be removeable but then you take them off and adhesive is left on the screen. That sure isnt fun to try and get off. I say as long as you use official styli and dont leave it lying open you should be fine. |

I don't know what sort of magic touch screens you guys have, but I barely looked at the one on my old style DS, and it was WAY scratched up. Of course, I actively spend time looking for scratches since I have an obsessive compulsive need for pristine screens on portable devices. |

I'm the opposite of you on one part. I can't see how anyone can scratch the screen up beyond repair. Exactly what are these people doing to the screens? But I also can't help constantly whiping my touch screen. I can't stand it when something you constantly look at is dirty. |

I have it, and trust me, you need it, unless, you want to break your DS Lite... I have Kirby Canvas Curse, and it would have killed my screen if it wasn't for the screen protectors. And yeah it can give you bubbles in the screen, but there's a way to make it so there isn't any bubbles. Instead, get the screen protector, put it at a 45 degree angle from the screen, get a credit card or something and slide it across the screen protector. If you did it correctly, there should be no bubbles. |

Exactly what are you doing in Canvas Curse to scratch up the screen? I have it too, but never have I damaged it from that game. |

Well I suppose that all really depends on which DS model you're using. I'd assume the DS lite's screen is tougher, but my stylus has never actually made contact with the screen, so I wouldn't know. |

I have the first DS to come out, it baffles me to see others in such terrible condition. |
