That's why I prefer Sony >_>

I doubt Sony's PS3 will be here for a long time, with all of the money they are losing, and the high price cost on the PS3 (they lose money on every PS3 they sell, and not many people like buying stuff that costly). However, I will admit the PS2 has had some good games, and I'm hoping the PS3 will have some too, I might buy it then..

Oh, as an additional note, I dunno if Vaku can confirm this or not, but apparently the Wii wasn't Nintendo's real next Gen system, they just wanted to test their motion controls and such. They might come out with a new console in two years... Thats why fewer and fewer Wii's have been shipped to the U.S.

This is according to my Step brother who works at GameStop.

Au contrair, Nintendo said that graphics and processing power are now such a moot point that the Wii will stick around for a while and that it may be more than 6 years before they make their next console.

Maybe they might've originally planned things that way, but the Wii's ridiculous sales would cause a change of plans. And they continue to ship tons of units, I'm not sure where you heard they're produced less.

Where I live Wiis are STILL hard to find. So they either are do extremely well, not shipping a lot, or both.

If you look, stores aren't getting as many, on the launch month they had a lot coming in, now only a few in a store at a time.

Its called a forced supply to keep the system in high demand.

Right now stores sell out of 100% of Wiis shipped to them within 24 hours of those systems being put on the sales floor.

There is no way Nintendo is going to release a new system anytime soon. Perhaps an improved Wii, but thats unlikely too.

As far as their original idea? This is it, as far as I can tell, no dolphin or revolution, those were names for the system before it was completed. Wii, pronounced as Whee, as in, fun.

Did his Nintendo rep tell him that? Cause that just sounds like garbage.

You wonder how Nintendo's doing? Let me break it down for you.

That's almost pure profit, too. Ah, the cost of nostalgia.

They're saying that there is no such plan and that it's nothing more than a supply problem, they simply can't keep making enough.
Up to floor 96 on the AST, once I get all those emblems, one more run to go :)

Actually a friend of mine works at a Wal-Mart in Michigan and he says they received a large shipment of Wiis, put them out at the start of his shift, and they were all sold out before his shift was over. He works from 10pm to 7am so imagine what happens when they are put out during daytime hours.

I'm so glad that I already own one. :slaugh:
