Lenses level up if you kill enemies while you have them equipped. Obviously, the only way to kill enemies with Star Lens or Luna Lens equipped is using grenades and you'll need to kill a lot of enemies just to go up one level (not to mention tons of grenades). An easier way is to fight the Silvery White Knight. Every time you win, your equipped Lens will level up. You can try one of these strategies: 1) Get his hp to critical, equip your desire lens and use a grenade to finish him of. or 2) Defeat him and while he is tearing apart (before you are declared winner), quickly change the equipped lens with the one you want to level up.
