Character Description (biography, behaviour, relationships...):

Name (in Kanji): 土浦梁太郎
Blood Type: O
Tsuchiura Ryotarou was born on July 25 and is 181cm (5 feet, 9 inches) tall. He has one older sister and one younger brother and attends Seiso Academy. In spite of his muscial talent, Ryotarou entered the Regular Department and is now in his second year (class 2-5). He is not only very good at science and mathematics, but also a very talented pianist. However, he kept his talents a secret for a very long time and joined the soccer and rack team instead during middle school.

So why did Tsuchiura hide his brillant piano skills?

When he was at elementary school, he was chosen to take part in the concours - as the only elementary student. Although he outperformed all the other participants, he neither won nor got any recognition. For Tsuchiura, the concours was a big event in his life and ever since that disappointment he started to avoid everything related to music, stopped playing the piano in public and entered the soccer club. There he took over the important position as a midfielder. Later, when Hino Kahoko's accompanist left her alone on the stage during the first selection, Tsuchiura jumped in to help her. It was his first performance with another person and during the piece (Hino chose Frederic Chopin's "Tristesse") he was finally able to overcome his problems. After that, he entered the concours as the 7th participator and surprised the judges everytime anew with his skills. Due to the concours and his reawakened love for music, he later quitted soccer club, much to his teammates' surprise.

Tsuchiura is a very gentle and caring person, especially when it comes to Hino. Because of her, he has often gotten into arguments with Tsukimori Len, who didn't accept regular students as worthy competition in the beginning. He sees Tsukimori as his biggest rival in the concours and his pride doesn't allow him to lose to the extroardinarily talented violinist. What he doesn't know is that Tsukimori was the one who prompted him to take part in the concours when he was at elementary school. As a youngling, he had watched a video of young Tsukimori playing the violin and Tsukimori's skills had impressed him that much that he decided to participate in the concours. Tsukimori is the only one with whom Tsuchiura is on bad terms, he gets along with the others pretty well (it is strange that those two don't get along well, since they seem to resemble each other very much). Sometimes, however, it seems as if Tsuchiura is jealous whenever he notices how close Hino and Hihara are. He also has a former girlfriend named Sakimoto (they went out together back in junior high school), who wanted to reunite with him after they met again at first, but when she noticed that Tsuchiura had feelings for Hino, she told Hino to take care of him. Later, Tsuchiura confesses to Sakimoto that he loves Hino.

Developments in the RP
Takemoto Kazuha: He met Kazuha in "A Peaceful Beginning" in a music store in Kawasaki and they didn't get off to a very good start. Kazuha challenged Ryotarou in a quite haughty manner to perform a piece on the piano which he did even though he was irritated by her. But they soon started to get along and Kazuha even invited Ryotarou to one of her sister's concerts (-> "A Reunion").

Yamada Yoko: Ryotarou encountered Yoko in the Kawasaki Music Store ("A Peaceful Beginning") and immediately took a dislike to her. Yoko deliberately hurt Hino (she pretended to loose her balance and crashed right into Hino) so that she could join the conversation and ask Hino to perform a piece on the violin (Ryotarou saw through her little act). But Hino injured her arm because of the crash which in the end resulted in Ryotarou resenting Yoko for the incident.

Fuyuumi Shouko: The shy girl always feels intimidated by Ryotarou even if the latter always tries his best to straighten things out. In "Unusual Combinations" the two of them even play a duet together, but are interrupted by Amou.

Your goals? (what do you plan with your character?):
I would like to let Tsuchiura become friends with Tsukimori - they don't need to be very close friends, but they should stop arguing! As for the romantic relationships - I've never liked love triangles/quadrangles. So I'm not sure yet whether I should go for TsuchiuraxHino or not. (To be honest, I prefer TsukimorixHino more ^^; )

Short sample RP (~10 lines):

A tall, gree-haired boy strolled across the campus. He was dressed in a black school uniform, a distinctive feature of every regular student. A few steps later, he entered the school building and headed toward the practice rooms. On his way there he met every once in a while students dressed in white school uniforms, whispering and pointing at him.

"That's Tsuchiura Ryotarou, the regular student who plays the piano in the concours!"
"You're right! He's really good, isn't he?"

'Seems like they noticed that the music department's students aren't better than regular students...' Tsuchiura thought and smiled secretly to himself. It wasn't easy for a regular student to be tolerated among the conceited music students, let alone being accepted as worthy competition in the concours. At this thought, he automatically saw a blue-haired boy in front of his eyes, holding a violin in his hand. Tsukimori Len was surely one of those arrogant, but - as a fair sportsman he had to admit it - extroardinarily talented music students. Still, talent wasn't an excuse for Tsukimori's behaviour towards Hino. Tsuchiura knew that Hino worked very hard to do her best in the concours and he cared very much for the considerate girl. With the next selection coming up, she had to be under a very great pleasure - that's why he decided to visit her. 'I wonder if she's practising right now?'
Wondering, he pushed open the door to the practice rooms.
