Posts: 601 Group: Administrator Member #1 Joined: April 29, 2007	[blue text means: "OOC", comment/explanation by admin] Imagine this to be a regular announcement pinned on each school's bulletin board Dear students, This year, the Japanese Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs will be organizing a national inter-school competition for classical music. Every school is allowed to choose up to seven students as representatives. The competition is divided into the following four categories: Wind Instruments Solo Stringed Instruments Solo Keyboard Instruments (Piano) Solo Duo A school can only nominate up to two students for the same category (two pairs for the duet category). The competition will also be divided in three selections, with 12 weeks of preparation time between each selection: First Selection - Prefectural Level In this round, schools from the same prefecture are going compete against each other, whereas the first 4 participants of each category are qualified for the next selection [comment: this means that two of our four schools will already meet; Seiso <-> Toho (both located in Kanagawa) ; Senzoku <-> Ueno (both located in Tokyo)] Second Selection - Regional Level The qualified participants are going to compete against those from other prefectures in the same region. The 3 best participants of each category will be able to enter the final selection. Feel free to use this information for future RP threads. For the threads you are going to create in the future (once your characters start preparing for the competition), include [week number]. As mentioned in the announcement above, I have set a preparation time of 12 weeks between each round. This means that we will have about 36 weeks to role-play. Of course, the given time spans and dates do not have to correspond with time spans in reality (I bet we won't make it within such a short time and will need more than 36 weeks). Also, one school does not have to rp all 36 weeks (I guess some RPers would DIE if we were to create 36 threads in each school); we want to keep things flexible, so please decide this on your own.
